A 6-game slate tonight is by no means huge, but there is a ton of star power suiting up tonight. There are certified NHL stars in every game that not only will make for entertaining games, but also bring solid betting value. With the first puck dropping at 6:00 pm ET and the final games ending after midnight, there will be constant action tonight with plenty to watch.

You can also find out our NHL predictions for today’s matchup, but for now, let’s dive into my favorite NHL prop bets.

Jack Eichel over 0.5 goals (+115)

The Golden Knights have picked up right where they left off when they hoisted Lord Stanley’s Cup. There is no Stanley Cup hangover as they are 7-0-0 with an average win by 2.14 goals. Vegas’ top players are playing like it, including Jack Eichel. He leads the hottest team in hockey with 3 goals (T-1), 5 assists (T-1) and 8 points (1st).

Eichel and the Golden Knights have a great chance to pad their stats further on Friday at home against the Blackhawks. Vegas has already beaten Chicago once this season by a score of 5-3. Eichel got on the scoresheet in that game and has a great chance to do it again. He skates a lot of minutes both at even strength and on the power play with great players, and has a favorable matchup. He will have great opportunity to score tonight.

Brent Burns over 0.5 points (-110)

This is another game that should be a lopsided matchup. The Hurricanes have not been stellar to start the season but they get to play the winless Sharks. San Jose is 0-6-1 to start the season with an average loss by 3 goals. As long as the Hurricanes do not try to sleepwalk through this game, they should be able to run up the score somewhat comfortably. That being the case, Brent Burns has a good chance to tally at least a point.

The Hurricanes rank in the top 10 in the NHL in goalscoring while the Sharks’ 4 goals allowed per game is the 4th-most in the league. Brent Burns has not lit up the scoresheet early on, but the Sharks present a good spot for him to get right. Burns averages the most time on ice of all Hurricanes skaters and is consistently on the ice with Carolina’s other top players. The opportunity should be there to Burns to produce tonight.
