Wednesday night in the NBA has arrived and we’ve got an 11-game slate to sink our teeth into. Trades have been all the rage in the association over the past week and with those on the backdrop we have a couple of crunch matchups on ESPN to get hyped up for. The night starts with the Spurs taking on the Hawks at 7:00 pm ET, with point guard De’Aaron Fox set to make his debut for San Antonio. That game is followed by the Phoenix Suns taking on the Oklahoma City Thunder at 9:30 pm ET. But for now, let’s get into my best NBA player prop bet for tonight.
Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL) over 9.5 1st-quarter points (-125)

Giannis is questionable for this one but if he gives it a go he should absolutely feast against the Charlotte Hornets. I can’t see anyone on this Hornets team that can stop them. Charlotte allows the 10th-most points to power forwards in the league and Giannis is the best the position has to offer. Last time against Charlotte, he scored 11 points in the opening quarter. Giannis has hit this in 7 of his last 8 games with his only miss being his most recent. I don’t expect him to go 7 straight and then miss 2 in a row. Charlotte is an undersized unit who likely can’t keep up with the physicality that Giannis offers. This game has blowout concern so I absolutely love targeting just the 1st quarter here to avoid that possibility. Let’s go!
