It’s Wednesday night in the NBA and we have a solid 9-game slate. The headlining matchups of the night see the Nuggets (-3) taking on the Heat in a rematch of last year’s NBA Finals, along with Warriors vs Mavericks (-7.5) and the always-entertaining Lakers (-1.5) vs Kings in the late spot. The Kings, Pacers, and Grizzlies are all on the tail end of a back-to-back. I’ve crunched the numbers and have come up with my best NBA player prop bet of the day, and I’m currently on a 6-1 run with my NBA prop picks. Kyrie Irving (DAL) over 28.5 points + assists (-115)

Line available on Bet365 at the time of publishing.

Kyrie Irving is averaging 30 points+assists per game on the season and 32.08 P+A per home game. His numbers have taken a dip due to the recent show Luka’s been putting on and the last 2 games for Dallas have been blowouts. This matchup is an optimistic one: Golden State allows the most field-goal attempts in the paint (non-restricted) and the highest field-goal percentage in that zone. For Kyrie, this is 29% of his shot attempts per game and he’s shooting nearly 52% on these shots.

The Warriors are allowing the 3rd-most catch-and-shoot three-point attempts and three-pointers made per game since the all-star break, which aligns with Kyrie’s recent role in this offense. For Luka, it’s tough to say anyone can guard him, but I will say that the Warriors do have guys that can be disruptive in Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins. Neither was available on the December 30 matchup when Luka went off for 39. If that is the case, we can see more Kyrie showcased against the likes of Brandon Podziemski and Chris Paul. 1u
