After much debate, the In-Season Tournament is a great thing for basketball. Last night was a treat for NBA fans. Let’s move onto tonight, where we have a 7-game slate, and dive into our top NBA player prop bets for the games on Wednesday, November 29. Be sure to also read our NBA predictions for each of tonight’s matchups.

Ausar Thompson (DET) under 22.5 pts/rebs/asts (-103)

Line available at BetRivers at time of publishing.

There has been a dip in usage and production for Ausar Thompson with the return of Jaden Ivey in the Pistons’ starting lineup. Ivey has started the last 5 games for Detroit, and ironically enough, Thompson has stayed under this PRA line in all 4 games. Besides the previous game, where Thompson attempted 14 shots, he’s seen less than 10 field-goal attempts in 5 of his last 10 games. It’s tough to produce when you’re not getting your number called.

The rebounding was the story for Thompson to start the season. Through the first 15 games of the regular season, Thompson averaged 10 rebounds per game. The last 2 games have been a different story. He’s combined for just 10 rebounds on 8.5 rebounding chances per game.

More than 70% of Thompson’s points come inside the paint. Against a defense surrounded by Anthony Davis, LeBron James and Christian Wood, I expect it to be difficult for Thompson to produce from a scoring standpoint to surpass this line.

Nicolas Batum (PHI) over 6.5 points (-105)

Line available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Acquiring Nicolas Batum in the James Harden trade was an extremely underrated move by the Philadelphia 76ers. Not only does Batum provide them with a high-IQ wing shooter and defender, but he’s a veteran presence that the 76ers need. Let’s dive into why I’m backing Batum’s scoring against the New Orleans Pelicans tonight.

The Pelicans have a difficult time defending the three-ball. They rank in the bottom 11 in three-pointers allowed per game, while opponents shoot over 40 three-pointers per game against them — the most in the league. With the emergence of Joel Embiid from a playmaking standpoint, I look for Batum to be a culprit of Embiid passing out of double teams and finding him cutting to the basket.

In addition to a full unit on Batum over 6.5 points, I’ll add a half unit on the over of 10+ points at +215 on DraftKings and .25 units on the over of 11.5 points at +330.
