An 11-game NBA slate gets underway tonight at 7:00 pm ET with LeBron James returning to Cleveland. Let’s dive into our best NBA player prop bets for Wednesday, October 30. You can also find out our NBA picks for all the big matchups today and throughout the entire 2024-25 season.
Tyrese Maxey (PHI) Over 5.5 assists (-125)
Odds available at DraftKings at time of publishing.
Tyrese Maxey has been leaned upon almost more than any star in the league to start the season. His 33% usage rate ranks in the top 10 in basketball, largely due to playing without Joel Embiid and Paul George. Tonight, he’ll be responsible for leading the 76ers without those 2 stars once again when Philadelphia takes on the Pistons, who rank in the bottom 5 in defensive efficiency. Maxey’s teammates were unable to convert on 9 of Maxey’s assist opportunities on Sunday in their win at Indiana. He recorded just 4 assists in 47 minutes. But we’re banking on positive regression from the surrounding cast to knock down shots while Maxey gets much of the attention from the Pistons. DraftKings is coming in with the best price on this prop at -125, while FanDuel is down to -140.

Bam Adebayo (MIA) Over 24.5 points+rebounds (-115)
Odds available at Bet365 at time of publishing.
Line shopping in a 9-month season is crucial. FanDuel and DraftKings have this prop at 25.5 — a number I’m okay playing, but I would much rather get the better number at 24.5 on BetMGM and Bet365, especially considering he landed on precisely 25 points+rebounds in 6 games last season. Much like Maxey’s assists, I’m banking on positive regression for Adebayo. His volume has ticked down with the Miami Heat now healthy, but he’s in for a great matchup against a New York Knicks team allowing the 7th-most points in the paint per game. Bam should continue to see solid rebounding numbers with back-to-back games of 19 and 15 rebounding chances.
