It’s NBA Wednesday night and we have a 7-game slate ahead of us. We have 3 double-digit spreads on the board and only one team on a back-to-back (Miami Heat). The trade deadline is at 3:00 pm ET tomorrow and we could see some last-minute “scratches” that are currently not on the injury report if deals are imminent, which is always something to look out for. You can read our NBA picks for tonight’s matchups, but for now, let’s get into my favorite NBA player prop bet of the night.
Jonathan Kuminga (GSW) over 20.5 points (-105)
Odds available with Bet365 at time of publishing.
It’s time to bring back an old friend. Kuminga has cleared this number in 8 of his last 10 games. Something that he has been doing that is being grossly overlooked is that he leads the Warriors in free-throws attempted per 100 possessions since January 1st — yes, more than Steph Curry. The 76ers over the last 15 games are 3rd in the league in opponent free-throws attempted and move to dead last when you adjust that to the last 6 games, when Embiid’s injury really impacted the team. He’s been a starter in 5 straight and hasn’t seen less than 33 minutes in that span. Kerr has finally committed to Kuminga being a top-tier piece and the Warriors are 3-2 over that stretch. He’s averaging 32.65 points per 100 possessions since January 1 and at 32 minutes, he projects to score 21.5 points.
