Tuesday’s NBA slate holds just a measly 4 games but it does feature 2 matchups live on TNT, as the Dallas Mavericks make the trip to Minnesota to take on the new-look Timberwolves before the New Orleans Pelicans battle the Golden State Warriors. Let’s dive into our best NBA player prop bets for Tuesday, October 29. You can also find out our NBA picks for all the big matchups today and throughout the entire 2024-25 season.

Cam Thomas (BKN) Under 3.5 assists (-120)

Odds available at Bet365 at time of publishing.

This under prop is the type of play where you hold your breath if you’re watching the game. Cam Thomas, a high-usage player, is expected to hoist up 20-25 field-goal attempts per game — that’s his job. He’s dished out fewer than 4 assists in all 3 games this season, while Dennis Schroder has been the main facilitator for Brooklyn. Ben Simmons will be sidelined again for this game, but I’m still buying the under on Thomas. Thomas and the Nets will be matched against the Denver Nuggets, who are fresh off an overtime win in Toronto — their first win of the season. This has the potential of being a layup of a game if they don’t rest bodies. Meanwhile, this will be the first leg of a back-to-back for the Nets as they take on the Grizzlies in Memphis tomorrow. Multiple books have a better price than what FanDuel is offering at -142. Bet365 has the under of 3.5 assists priced at -120.

Julius Randle (MIN) Over 7.5 rebounds (-115)

Odds available at Bet365 at time of publishing.

This price is on the move, so get it in fast. DraftKings had this priced around -110 but moved to -125. The next best price on the market is -115 on Bet365 and -120 on ESPN and BetMGM. After an ugly start to his tenure with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Julius Randle is slowly getting comfortable. He’s averaging 35 minutes per game and has reeled in 9, 5 and 9 rebounds in his first 3 games. He’s had double-digit rebounding games in all 3 games he’s suited up in. Rudy Gobert will be busy in the pick-and-roll game against Luka Doncic or defending the Mavericks’ big men in Daniel Gafford and Dereck Lively II. That plugs in Randle to haul in rebounds, as he’s most likely defending P.J. Washington in the corner. If you want even more fun, I’ll be wagering on Randle to grab 10+ rebounds at +240 on DraftKings.
