The NBA returned last night with Hornets vs Lakers being the sole game of the slate, and the Hornets pulled off the massive upset as 12.5-point underdogs. We typically see some upsets when teams return from the all-star break, and there’s a good chance we get some more tonight. Let’s look ahead to today’s 9-game slate, where we have plenty of NBA player prop bets to target on Thursday, February 20. You can also check out our expert NBA picks for today’s big games, but for now, let’s dive into my best NBA player prop bets.

You can bet on both of tonight’s NBA player props with BetMGM. And if you’re new to BetMGM, now is the perfect time to sign up! Simply click here to join now and you’ll receive $150 in bonus bets if your first $10 wager is a winner!

Stephon Castle (SAS) Over 16.5 points+assists (-120)

Odds available at Bet365 at time of publishing.

The betting favorite for Rookie of the Year, Stephon Castle, is in a great spot to continue his hot rookie campaign as the 2nd half of the season gets started. The Spurs will likely be without Victor Wembanyama tonight, so that opens up 15-20 field-goal attempts for the Spurs. Newcomer De’Aaron Fox will fill some of that void, but expect Castle to see even more volume off the bench and at the end of games — he’s playing upwards of 8 minutes in the final frame of games.

You can find over 16.5 points+assists on Bet365 and BetMGM. With these props that have tight margins, paying the vig isn’t the worst idea. Nonetheless, this is still playable at over 17.5 points+assists at even money on DraftKings.

Ivica Zubac (LAC) Over 25.5 points+rebounds (-122)

Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Ivica Zubac is so far enjoying his best season in 9 years in the NBA. Zubac is averaging 15 points and 12 rebounds — good for 33 double-doubles, which is the 8th-most in the association. Zubac and the Clippers are currently 1-point favorites on the road against a Bucks team that may be without Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The Clippers will be playing with their core healthy in Kawhi Leonard, James Harden, Norman Powell and Ivica Zubac for the 15th time this season — Zubac has surpassed 25.5 points+rebounds in 8 of those games. Expect him to do so again tonight.
