Most fans probably won’t like this bet, but I’m here to provide solid analysis and win bets. LeBron has a tough challenge in front of him tonight. The Pelicans are near the top of basketball in terms of defending the 3-point line. They are holding opponents to under 34% from deep and kept LeBron under this line in all 3 games last season. The Pelicans have length and star power to throw at him. Herb Jones is an elite perimeter defender who can cause plenty of problems. He will most likely get that assignment and play upwards of 30 minutes — which is his season average.
Yes, LeBron will continue to get extended run during this semifinal matchup, but he has stayed under this prop in 12 of 21 games this season and in 5 of his last 6. LeBron may be my GOAT, but I’m confident in the length of the Pelicans’ defense to give him problems from the land of plenty.
