We’re at that time in the regular season where teams are either fighting for playoff seeding or waiting for the season to end to start their vacation.
Let’s dive into my best NBA player prop bets, while you can also check out our NBA picks for all 4 of today’s games.
Anthony Edwards, MIN, Over 26.5 points (-115)
Odds available at ESPNBET Sportsbook at time of publishing.
With games on the docket all day long, I find my way attacking the last game of the slate – no coincidence. We backed Donovan Mitchell yesterday, who took on the Los Angeles Lakers – yes, the one where we got a great line at 20.5 points, closed at 24.5 points and still lost. Anyway, let’s look ahead to today.
Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves are fighting for the #1 seed in the Western Conference. They currently sit a half-game back of the Denver Nuggets. Not only are they in fighting distance of the #1 seed, but the Oklahoma City Thunder are just a game back of taking the #2 seed. Tonight, Edwards will be taking on the Lakers as 2-point underdogs.
It’s been all on Edwards to carry the scoring load with Karl-Anthony Towns sidelined. He’s averaging over 20 field goal attempts in his last 10 games played without Towns. But that has yet to lead to Edwards lighting up the scoreboard. He’s surpassed his line in just 3 of his last 10, but positive regression is due for Edwards, who is over this line in 5 of 9 games played on the road without Towns.

Wendell Carter JR.,ORL, Over 10.5 points (-120)
Odds available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.
Wendell Carter JR. gets another opportunity to show his former team what they’re missing out on. Carter is in his 4th season with the Orlando Magic after being traded for Nikola Vucevic and other pieces being sent to the Magic in 2021. A revenge narrative may be on Carter’s mind, but this is an excellent spot for him to light up the scoreboard, especially with how aggressive he’s been as of late.
After scoring under 10 points in 7 straight games, Carter has answered that with 4 consecutive games of at least 13 points. He’s seeing more volume and minutes during that span, and it’s paying off. He’s been hot from three-point range, shooting 10 for 13 in his last 5 games. That bodes well against a Bulls team, allowing up to 15 threes per game in their last 10 – top 5 worst in the league.
