Yesterday’s NBA player prop bet will go down as one of my worst of the season. But it’s a new day and we have a 6-game slate to work with. Let’s dive into my top NBA player prop bets.
Tyrese Haliburton, PG, SAC, Over 18.5 points (-125)

I’m more than comfortable drinking some juice for the over of 18.5 points on Tyrese Haliburton. ESPN BET has the over priced at -125, while DraftKings is down to -130. Tyrese Haliburton has scored at least 19 points in 33 of 58 games this season, including 18/27 on the road. He seems to have bounced back after his lackluster shooting performances since the All-Star Break. He’s put together back-to-back games of 20 and 26 points while shooting 18 for 31 from the field. After 4 three-pointers two nights ago, his three-point prop is up to 2.5 with vig on the over.
In what is anticipated to be a competitive game between the Pacers and Lakers, as the Pacers are 3.5 point underdogs, Haliburton is in line for 15-18 field goal attempts against a Lakers defense that ranks in the bottom 10 in the NBA in defensive efficiency in their last 10 games.
Cade Cunningham, PG, DET, Under 28.5 pts/asts (-120)

Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons will take on the New Orleans Pelicans as 12.5-point underdogs, which already presents a challenge for the young guard. Not only that, but the matchup here is brutal. The Pelicans elite defense, led by Herb Jones, will have Cunnigham in a pickle. Jones’s on-ball defense is a weapon, but the Pelicans also defend the pick-and-roll exceptionally well as a team.
Cunningham is under this line in 4 out of his last 5 games, mixed in with blowout losses of at least 10 points. I’ll side with the potential blowout and difficult matchup for Cunningham and the Pistons, who tip off at 3:00 E.T.
