Our only NBA prop play voided last night, so technically we’re still running hot! The NBA Pickswise team has hit 12 out of our last 15 NBA prop picks and I’m looking to continue that run with action on Sunday.

Let’s dive into my best NBA player prop bets for games on Sunday, January 14. Also make sure you also read our NBA predictions for today’s games.

Miles Bridges, PF, CHA, Under 21.5 points (-110)

Line available at BetMGM Sportsbook at time of publishing.

I’ll be the first to tell you that this under will be sweaty. The Charlotte Hornets are missing multiple frontcourt bodies but return the starting backcourt of LaMelo Ball and Terry Rozier. What does that mean for Miles Bridges? Less time with the ball, of course.

Ball returned to action last game and scored 28 points in 26 minutes. 16 of those points came from the free-throw line. That is just laughable, but if that’s what results in us cashing in on Bridges’ under, so be it. From a usage rate standpoint, in their last game against the Spurs, Ball dominated. He logged a 40% usage rate, while Bridges saw his lowest usage since December 6th. Tonight, the matchup gets much more difficult. Bridges and company will take on the Miami Heat, who will look to slow the Hornets down with their bottom-five pace of play.

The Heat are known to make an effort to stop star players, but books have yet to adjust Bridges as the third option. He’s stayed under this line in 4 of 6 games with Ball in the lineup and now has to worry about Rozier taking shots away.

Michael Porter Jr, SF, DEN, Over 15.5 points (-117)

Line available at Caesars Sportsbook at time of publishing.

“Never swing the rock” Porter has been a monster at home this season. He’s averaging over 17 points per game while shooting 50% from the field. Luckily, The Denver Nuggets play host to the fast-paced Indiana Pacers, who will be without Tyrese Haliburton. In the last two games without Haliburton, the Pacers have logged a top 10 pace of play.

Porter gets set up beautifully with Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray in the lineup. When the trio plays together, Porter has scored over 16 points in 13 26 games, with 10 of those overs coming at home. He’s averaging over 13 field goal attempts during that span while shooting it at a 50% clip. With a total of 240 and the Pacers wanting to play fast, Porter is in a prime spot to smash this over.
