Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. Last nights NBA actions delivered spectacular moments, including Trae Young’s overtime 3-pointer to sink the Los Angeles Lakers. Expect more terrific action on Saturday, with a 7-game slate. Both of the leading teams in each conference are taking to the floor, with the Cleveland  Cavaliers taking on the Charlotte Hornets. Elsewhere, the Western Conference leading Oklahoma City Thunder will be visiting the New Orleans Pelicans.

Be sure to check out our NBA picks for Saturday, but for now take a look at my player prop selections below.

Isaiah Hartenstein (OKC) Over 16.5 rebounds & assists (-105)

Since coming back from injury, Isaiah Hartenstein has wasted no time establishing himself as an elite rebounder. He has been averaging 12.9 boards per game this season, which puts him 3rd in the league among all players. Against the New Orleans Pelicans tonight, do not be surprised to see him comfortable exceed this. Tonight’s hosts are dead last over the last 5 games in true shooting percentage, so there should be no shortage of misses for him to chase down. Pelicans center Yves Missi won’t force him away from the paint with his floor spacing ability either. Hartenstein has been great at sharing the ball too, averaging 4.4 assists per game, recording 6 in each of his last 2 games. It should act as a nice insurance addition to this line. After all, the Pelicans are 27th in the NBA in opponent assists per game.

Jaren Jackson Jr. (MEM) Over 1.5 made threes (-115)

Jaren Jackson Jr. has been one of the main threats from deep for the Memphis Grizzlies this season, ranking 2nd on the team in 3-point attempts per game. As a result of the attempts he has been getting, he has hit the over on this line in 7 of his last 10 games. He will be up against a Boston Celtics team tonight that leads the league in 3-point attempts per game. I would not be surprised to see the Grizzlies get roped into a shootout here. The presence of Kristaps Porzingis in the paint should also cause issues for Ja Morant, who thrives at the rim. Look for Jackson Jr. to play a pivotal role in forcing him out of the paint. No better way of doing that then knocking down a couple of three pointers. Look for the Grizzlies to try and establish him as a threat from deep early. Back the over as a result.

Alex Sarr (WSH) Over 10.5 points (-115)

Washington Wizards rookie Alex Sarr has been improving his scoring form of late. He has managed double-digit points in 5 of his last 6 games, hitting the over on this line in 4 of those contests. He is getting no shortage of opportunities, ranking 3rd on the team in field goal attempts per game. With Kyle Kuzma and Malcolm Brogdon, who rank 2nd and 4th both being unavailable tonight, those attempt numbers could further spike for Sarr. The Nuggets have hardly been a great team at getting stops, ranking 17th in defensive rating over the last 10 games. While Nikola Jokic will be a handful to defend against, he is not known as a defensive stopper. It would be down to the rookie to try and make him work on that end of the floor. Considering his recent form, should be well positioned to hit double-digits.
