I cashed on all 3 of my NBA Player Prop Bet selections on Thursday, I’m looking to do the same this Saturday, as well, with 5 games coming our way.
Find our predictions for those games on the NBA picks page, I’ve selected a few of my favorite NBA player prop bets for Saturday, January 18. Let’s dive into them!
Devin Booker (PHX) Over 34.5 points + assists (-125)
Benching Bradley Beal has really opened up the court for Devin Booker who is flourishing in his expanded role on offense over the past 6 or so games. Booker has delivered 4 straight 30+ point performances, while averaging 32.5 points per game in his last 6 outings. He’s also been productive in the playmaking department averaging 7.3 dimes per game, only once in his last 6 game she failed to go over this line. The game against the Pistons should be a high-scoring one, as both teams are playing at a higher pace over their last 10 games. Jusuf Nurkic going to the bench has allowed head coach Mike Budenholzer to play a smaller lineup, hence why the Suns have dropped 120+ points in 3 of their last 5 games. In his last visit to the Motor City, Booker dropped 30 points in just 30 minutes.
Tyrese Maxey (PHI) to record 25+ points (-165)
The absence of Joel Embiid should open things up for Tyrese Maxey who is once again expected to carry the scoring load for Philadelphia. When the big fella doesn’t play, Maxey is averaging 27.4 points per game this season. He’s cleared this line in the last 8 such games, which gives me optimism for tonight’s game vs Indiana. In two meetings with the Pacers this year Maxey is averaging 33.5 points, while playing over 42 minutes per game. I think it’s safe to say we can expect another heavy minute load for Maxey, the 76ers don’t have many consistent options on offense aside from him. Paul George is another player to keep an eye on in this game, as he faces his former team. However PG has looked past his prime for most of this season, the Sixers cannot rely on him as much as they can on Maxey. This bet has cashed in 5 straight games, make it 6 in a row at Indiana.
Trae Young (ATL) Over 37.5 points + rebounds + assists (-113)
Trae Young and a couple more high-profile Hawks players including Jalen Johnson and De’Andre Hunter all took the night off in Atlanta’s latest game against Chicago to rest up for Saturday’s clash with the Celtics. Young didn’t have the best of games vs the defending champions the last time they played, finishing with just 2 points and leaving the game early with an injury. Things will be different this time around; the Hawks’ point guard has been on a heater for a while. We just saw him drop 43 points on the Phoenix Suns, including 6 triples made. It was the 6th time in 7 games he was able to clear this line, for a bet priced at -113 odds that’s very encouraging. He always puts up numbers in head-to-head games with Boston, especially at TD Garden. Even with that 2-point game included, Young is averaging 26.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 9.7 assists per game in the last 10 meetings. So we just need him to reach his averages here and the bet is a winner.
