NBA

Since graduating from Davidson (The College That Stephen Curry Built), I have been writing about sports -- just about any and all you can think of! -- and coaching tennis in Atlanta, GA. Beyond the four major sports, I am an avid tennis fan and cover the ATP Tour on a daily basis. If I'm not busy writing, you can generally find me on a tennis court or traveling the world wherever a sporting event takes me. For Ricky Dimon media enquiries, please email contact@pickswise.com.

College basketball is once again taking center stage tonight, as the National Championship will feature Florida and Houston. But don’t forget about the NBA. It isn’t a huge slate by any means, but 2 games are enough to provide us with some prop-betting opportunities.

You can read all of our NBA previews, but for now check out my favorite player props for Monday.

Cade Cunningham (DET) Over 26.5 points (-112)

Cunningham has been outstanding all season long, but he has been especially hot of late. The #1 pick in the 2021 draft averaged more than 27 points per game in March and delivered 4 performances of more than 30 points during that month – all of that despite missing the last week. He returned on Saturday and scored 25 points in just 25 minutes against Minnesota. Likely to log his normal court time (35.1 minutes on average), in today’s matchup with Sacramento, Cunningham should be primed for another huge scoring output. The Oklahoma State product has faced the Kings once this season and torched them for 33 points.

Andrew Wiggins (MIA) Over 1.5 made 3s (-160)

Games involving the Philadelphia 76ers are never the safest plays because Philly could be down by 50 at halftime and then starters’ minutes can be reduced. Nonetheless, Wiggins should be able to drain at least a couple of 3-pointers even if he doesn’t log a ton of minutes. The former #1 overall pick has drained multiple triples in 4 straight and in 6 of the last 7 contests, including 6 against Charlotte in late March. Wiggins should be in line for another productive night against an opponent that is in all-out tank mode and showing zero commitment on the defensive end of the floor. The 76ers are second-to-last league wide in 3-point percentage defense and opponents are making the seventh-most 3-pointers against them (14.3 per game).
