Veteran Torrey Craig has found his way back into a starting role for the Chicago Bulls and on Monday he gets a soft matchup to show off his defensive prowess. The Bulls’ defense has been better off without Zach LaVine on the floor this season and in games LaVine has missed, Craig averages 0.43 blocks per 20 minutes; now, he draws a matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers’ inexperienced offense. Over their last 15 games, Portland has attempted the 4th-most shots within 8 feet of the basket and it has resulted in allowing the 3rd-most blocks overall in that span.
Craig should be in line for anywhere between 20 and 30 minutes regardless of the situation in this home contest barring foul trouble, but it is also of note that Alex Caruso is questionable and if his availability were endangered, Craig’s ceiling sees a clear increase as well. We currently project Craig for 0.75 blocks and this prop is playable up to -120 price.
