With the recent trade bonanza, the NBA has taken center stage in the sports world. Tonight, they bring us a 10-game slate that will see some of those teams that have made moves in action. The San Antonio Spurs, Sacramento Kings and Utah Jazz will all be taking to the court. And while it might be too soon for some of their newest additions to join them, there should be excitement and intrigue around these teams. You can find out our NBA picks for tonight’s big matchups, but for now, let’s dive into my best NBA player prop bets for Monday, February 3.
Domantas Sabonis (SAC) over 20.5 points (-108)
Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.
The Sacramento Kings have just traded away De’Aaron Fox, which will mean the rest of the starters will have to carry a heavier workload against the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight. Domantas Sabonis has had success against Minnesota this season and should thrive with added touches. He is averaging 24.5 points per game in 3 games against them, managing at least 20 points in each.
Sabonis is a matchup nightmare for Rudy Gobert. Not only is he terrific in screen handoff situations, but he is also a 47.3% shooter from beyond the arc this season. He should be able to force the Timberwolves center away from the paint, where he will have space to attack off the dribble. Sabonis is also 2nd in the NBA in offensive rebounds per game. If Gobert steps out as a help defender, the Lithuanian should pick up easy points off his teammates’ misses.

Zion Williamson (NO) over 23.5 points (-108)
Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.
In limited games this season, Zion Williamson has been able to show just why the New Orleans Pelicans are choosing to stick with him. The forward is averaging 23.6 points per game and has managed to score at least 24 points in each of his last 4 games. He is someone who thrives at the rim, and with Nikola Jokic being the one defending it tonight, Williamson is unlikely to be deterred.
The Pelicans forward ranks only below Giannis Antetokounmpo in paint points per game this season. The Nuggets on the other hand are 28th in opponent points in the paint. Against such a tailor-made opponent, it should be hard for Zion to drop below his season average here. The Pelicans have been 3rd in the league in pace over the last 10 games too so he should get no shortage of possessions here.

Victor Wembanyama (SA) over 3.5 blocks (-120)
Odds available at Bet365 at time of publishing.
San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama is listed as questionable ahead of tonight’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies. If he does take to the floor, we should be set to witness a block party. Against this very same opponent, Wembanyama recorded 14 blocks over 2 games in January.
The Grizzlies are 2nd in the league in points in the paint and are likely to continue going at Wembanyama, especially with fearless guards like Ja Morant in their squad. Their relentless pursuit of paint points has meant that over the last 10 games, only the Utah Jazz have been blocked more. It’s a dangerous proposition when the man guarding the rim for the Spurs leads the league in rejections, averaging 4 blocks per game. If he takes to the floor tonight, I am expecting him to exceed this line.
