NBA Friday returns with the biggest slate we’ve had since last Sunday. Eight games are on the horizon, with a handful of big spreads.
Let’s dive into our best NBA player prop bets for today on Friday, December 13, while you can also find out our NBA picks for today and throughout the entire season.
Chris Paul (SA) Over 18.5 points + assists (-115)
Odds available at Bet365 Sportsbook at time of publishing
The Spurs vs Trail Blazers duel will conclude the Friday slate, but I’m starting my action here. San Antonio will play without fellow point guards Tre Jones and Stephon Castle on Friday, meaning Paul should be ramped up to 32 to 35 minutes. Devin Vassel and Jeremy Sochan can also run the offense without Paul, but this is an excellent spot for Paul — as the Spurs implied team total is up to 114.5. There are many moving pieces in the Spurs’ offense, but with Sochan and Victor Wembanyama active, the veteran point guard is over this line in 5 of 9 games.
Jarrett Allen (CLE) Over 24.5 points + rebounds (-115)
Odds available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing
Let’s pray to the basketball gods that this Wizards vs Cavaliers contest stays close enough for Jarrett Allen to see his usual workload of 30 minutes. That number could shoot up if Evan Mobley, who is on the injury report, doesn’t suit up — and there’s no better time to rest one of your stars in a game with a 17-point spread!
Allen has struggled to get over this line over his last 6 games — 6 straight unders. However, his his volume is down and they Cavs won 3 of those games by double-digits — 1 of which resulted in Allen playing fewer than 26 minutes. If Mobley sits, that’s great for us, but even with Mobley active this is a dream matchup for Allen against a Wizards defense that allows 53 points in the paint per game (3rd most in the NBA). An implied Cavaliers team total of 125 sure helps.
