Tonight is another excellent spot for Johnson to smash his rebounds + assists prop of 14.5 against the Bulls. Kyrie Irving is quietly having one of the better seasons we have seen from a veteran this season. He is shooting a career-high 54% from the field and 54% from 3-point range. The volume has slightly dipped from his first 2 years in Dallas, but that’s expected when playing alongside Luka Dončić and Klay Thompson. Tonight against the Denver Nuggets, the Mavericks will be without Dončić for the second time this season.
Dončić missing time opens up over 20+ field-goal attempts. Irving will undoubtedly see his usage tip up tonight in this NBA Cup duel. He’ll challenge a Nuggets team that he dropped a season-high 43 against earlier this month in a 2-point loss and missed the game-winning 3-point attempt.
