Our first Friday night of the NBA season tips off with 10 games on the slate. Let’s dive into our best NBA player prop bets for Friday, October 25. Last season, I went 73-54 on my NBA prop picks, so let’s have ourselves another big year! You can also find out our NBA picks for all the big matchups throughout the entire 2024-25 season.

Tyus Jones (PHX) Over 6.5 assists (+105)

Odds available at DraftKings at time of publishing.

Tyus Jones is perfect for what this offense wants from a point guard: get Kevin Durant and Devin Booker the ball without turning it over. Jones led the NBA in assists-to-turnover ratio last season and looks to be a steal for what the Suns are paying him this season.

In his first game commanding the offense for the Suns, Jones dished out 8 assists without turning the ball over. Phoenixwent on to win in overtime, with Jones playing 35 minutes. All 8 of Jones’ assists came in regulation, during which he logged 30 minutes.

On Friday, Jones and the Suns will travel to L.A. to take on the Lakers with a total of 228.5. Expect both teams to play fast and shoot a ton of 3-pointers. The Suns attempted 38 on Wednesday night.

Josh Hart (NYK) Under 4.5 assists (-113)

Odds available at Caesars at time of publishing.

Sharper books have Josh Hart’s under of 4.5 assists priced around -130, so attack the price Caesars is offering. BetMGM is also playable at -120. Last season, during the regular season in games played with Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby, Hart stayed under this line in 14 of 20 games. Not to mention that they added Karl-Anthony Towns and Miles Bridges via trades this offseason, and they must get their own offensively.

The first game with the new additions for the Knicks went as bad as you could imagine. They were blown out by the Celtics in a game that was over during the first half, and the core played below 25 minutes — including Hart. I expect a heavy dose of Brunson and Towns eating up a ton of usage and Hart staying relatively quiet aside from crashing the glass.
