Cade Cunningham (Pistons) Over 31.5 points + rebounds + assists (-111)
Line available at Caesars Sportsbook at time of publishing.
The first game of the slate is where we’re taking our action. Cade Cunningham of the Detroit Pistons has responded in a big way following an injury-plagued 2022-23 campaign that resulted in him appearing in just 12 games. Fast forward to this season and it’s been a breath of fresh air for Detroit fans. They are witnessing their former #1 overall pick become the star that he is. He is averaging 22.7 points per game on 41.5% from 3-point range. His passing ability has also been on full display. His 7.5 assists per game on 12 opportunities ranks just outside the top 10.
Cunnigham and the Pistons will battle it out against the injury-ridden Phoenix Suns. We know Bradley Beal won’t suit up for this one, but will Devin Booker? Will Kevin Durant play on the second leg of a back-to-back? Those questions remain unanswered, but FanDuel currently has the Suns at just 5.5-point favorites. That makes me believe Booker or Durant won’t suit up for this one. That’s great for us, as we need this game to be competitive.
For yesterday’s Suns-76ers early Saturday game, 76ers point guard Tyrese Maxey loaded up the stat sheet with 37 PRA — most of which came in the second half. They struggle to contain versatile point guards that can create their own shot. Plug in Cunningham, who is among the league’s best at that. Give me his over on 31.5 PRA, which he has cashed in 4 of 6 games this season.
