Trade deadline Thursday is a big day in the NBA. Knowing that, we’re going to be cautious in our approach with NBA player prop bets. Let’s dive into our top NBA player prop bet for Thursday, February 8, but in addition to that, make sure you read our NBA predictions for the biggest games on the docket tonight.

Mike Conley, PG, MIN, Under 20.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-113)

Odds available at Caesars Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Mike Conley has been one of my favorite fade candidates in the first half of the NBA season. He’s the 4th/5th scoring option on the Timberwolves, averaging less than a 15% usage rate. His assist numbers are a concern when fading him, but we’re turning to points + rebounds + assists tonight, as he’s stayed under 20.5 PRA in each of his last 6 games.

It’s no secret that the Milwaukee Bucks defense is among the league’s worst. Trading away Jrue Holiday has hurt more than some thought, and it could bite them come playoff time. Nonetheless, this game suits Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns better, as they are both projected to score in the high-20s. Conley is averaging fewer than 7 field goal attempts per game in his last 5 while averaging less than 10 assist opportunities per game during that span. We’re banking on another low-scoring outing from Conley and for Edwards and Towns to do most of the scoring on their own.
