Another quartet of playoff games are ready to fill up our Sunday. Let’s dive into my best NBA player prop bets for Sunday, April 28, while you can also check out our NBA picks for all 4 of today’s matchups.
Tyrese Maxey, PHI, Over 25.5 points (-114)
Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.
Tyrese Maxey broke not only my heart on Thursday but also the hearts of others who backed his points with a total of 25.5. Maxey entered the 4th quarter with 21 points, but it was nonexistent from a scoring standpoint to close the game. Joel Embiid handled almost all the scoring load, dropping 50 points for the game. But we won’t shy away from backing Maxey in Game 4 – a must-win game for the 76ers.
Other role players for Philadelphia in Game 3 finally stepped up. Kelly Oubre had his best game of the series, while Cameron Payne came off the bench and went berserk from 3-point range. But Tobias Harris was benched in the closing quarter, while Kyle Lowry handled the ball in the 4th. I expect an aggressive Tyrese Maxey in Game 4, upwards of 23 field goal attempts, and a soft whistle to get this series tied at two games a piece.

Mike Conley, MIN, Under 12.5 points (-115)
Odds available at ESPNBET at time of publishing.
I’m taking a market-based approach on my next bet – Mike Conley under 12.5 points at -115 on ESPN. Conley, a much-needed veteran presence for the Timberwolves, has helped them solidify a 3-0 series lead and is just one win away from the sweep. Him shooting 20/43 has sure helped him eclipse this point total in three of the four games. But we’re banking on some regression from the 36-year-old, and with this being a +EV spot, we’ll take our chances.
