The NBA action comes thick and fast tonight with a 9-game slate that includes 2 HUGE matchups on ESPN. Up first we have a potential 2025 NBA Finals preview as the relentless Oklahoma City Thunder make the trip to Boston to battle the Celtics. That is followed by the Minnesota Timberwolves taking on the Denver Nuggets. Thunder vs Celtics tips off at 7:30 pm ET, while Timberwolves vs Nuggets gets underway at 10:00 pm ET. I’ve assessed today’s entire NBA slate and my best player prop for Wednesday, March 12 comes in Knicks vs Trail Blazers. You can find out our NBA picks for tonight’s big matchups, but for now, let’s dive into my best NBA player prop bet.

Miles McBride (NYK) over 4.5 1st-quarter points (-135)

Odds available at Bet365 at time of publishing. Playable at that number.

Miles McBride isn’t a guy we’ve bet on much this year. With that being said, I’ve kept my eye on this guy for a while now and it feels like it’s his time to shine. Jalen Brunson is out yet again for New York and I’m expecting McBride to continue to step up in his absence. McBride started hot last time in the 1st quarter against the Kings, scoring 15 points to start off. I don’t expect him to replicate that performance, but it is surely encouraging.

McBride finds himself against the Trail Blazers tonight, who allow the 4th-most points to point guards in the NBA. McBride has hit this prop in 7 of the last 10 games as a starter dating back to last season. He has played all 12 1st-quarter minutes in a majority of those games, and as long as foul trouble doesn’t occur, that should be the case yet again. We need a three-ball and another bucket. I really dig this one and think it’s worth the juice. Let’s roll!
