We were just 1 Kristaps Porzingis point away from cashing on last night’s Celtics vs Grizzlies SGP, so I’m hoping we get that bit of luck back with tonight’s bet. My eyes are on Timberwolves vs Nuggets, and I have picked out my 3 best bets and combined them into a tasty +331 odds Same Game Parlay.
Also get predictions on the side and total for Tuesday’s slate on our NBA picks page, but now let’s get into my Wolves vs Nuggets bet!
Nuggets -3.5 (-110)
Nikola Jokic to record 10+ rebounds (-225)
Anthony Edwards to score 25+ points (-200)
Same Game Parlay odds: +331
Nuggets -3.5 (-110)
There is a bit of history on the line in tonight’s game, as the Denver Nuggets are trying to avoid getting swept by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the regular season for the first time since the 2002-03 NBA season. The T-Wolves have dominated the last 2 meetings by 29 and 20 points, and I have a feeling Nikola Jokic and company will play with an extra incentive in order to avoid being on the wrong side of history. With 3 wins in 4 games, the Nuggets have played well this past week, Aaron Gordon is back on track and putting up numbers similar to what they were before his injury. The same can be said about Jokic, who took a couple of weeks off to recuperate his energy levels as the Nuggets prepare for a deep playoff run.
Meanwhile, Minnesota has also played well and has won 3 of 4 just like Denver — but they could be without Naz Reid and Donte DiVincenzo. They could get suspended for taking part in the scuffle that happened in Sunday’s win over the Pistons. That would be a massive blow to the Minnesota’s bench, and the ‘Wolves rely heavily on those 2 players on the offensive end. Although they have not been as reliable against the spread in home games lately, the Nuggets are still 12-5 SU in 17 games against Western Conference opponents. Their backs are against the wall and that’s exactly where Jokic and the rest of his teammates excel the most. I’ll back the Nuggets to cover.
Nikola Jokic to record 10+ rebounds (-225)
It’s always a fun matchup when the 3-time MVP goes up against Rudy Gobert. Playing the 4-time DPOY always brings out the best out of Jokic; the numbers back that up. The Serb is averaging a near triple-double with 30.8 points, 9.5 rebounds and 8.2 assists per game in the last 10 meetings with the Frenchman, and that 19-rebound performance he had in Game 7 of the 2024 NBA playoffs against Minnesota is still fresh in our minds. Jokic has cleared this line in 3 straight games and in 8 of his last 10 overall, while averaging 13.3 per game during this stretch. Minnesota’s 52.3 allowed rebounds per game on the road makes them only the 13th ranked team in the NBA. We just saw the Pistons grab 16 offensive rebounds against them on Sunday and they don’t have anyone as good as Jokic on their roster when it comes to cleaning the glass. Count on the Joker to deliver a solid performance.
Anthony Edwards to score 25+ points (-200)
Naz Reid and Donte DiVincenzo average a combined 26 points per game. If either gets suspended for Tuesday’s game, it would be a big blow for the T-Wolves’ ambitions in this game. Ant Man won’t mind doing some extra work on the offensive end, though; he just scored a cool 25 against the Pistons in the blowout win on Sunday. In 3 meetings this season the Nuggets haven’t had a proper answer for him, he is averaging 30.7 points per game on over 51% from the field and 44% from 3, clearing this line in all 3 of those games. One of the areas of the game Edwards relies on the most to get his points is the 3-ball and the Nuggets haven’t exactly excelled guarding the perimeter this year. They are the 10th-worst team in the league, allowing 36.4% of shots to go in. It gets even worse at Ball Arena, where that number goes up to 37%. Edwards knocked down 5 threes in his last visit to Denver, and I’m expecting another solid showing from him.
