Rudy Gobert to score 15+ points (+158)
Jaren Jackson Jr. 3+ made 3s (+190)
Same Game Parlay odds: +491
Rudy Gobert to score 15+ points (+158)
The 4-time Defensive Player of the Year has undoubtedly been one of the key players for the Timberwolves this season, but lately he has excelled with his play on the offensive end. Gobert is averaging 14.9 points per game over his last 10 outings on an unreal 72% from the field. He is also dominating the boards by grabbing 13.9 rebounds per game; against a team that has struggled to keep opponents off the glass, I’m expecting him to make an impact tonight. RG has cleared this line in 7 straight games prior to Tuesday’s loss at Milwaukee, where he had a mere 6 points total. In that game he attempted just 4 field goals, so I’m going to attribute that performance to the game-plan of the T-Wolves coaching staff. In order to beat the Grizzlies on Thursday, Gobert will have to have a big game along with a couple of other teammates. I like his matchup against the inexperienced rookie Zach Edey, and Memphis allows the eighth-most points this season in the NBA at 116.8 per game.

Jaren Jackson Jr. 3+ made 3s (+190)
It has been an adjustment offensively under interim head coach Tuomas Iisalo for JJJ, but he is still putting up 20.3 points per game in his last 10 outings. More importantly for this bet, he’s at 2.5 makes from beyond the arc during this stretch on a very efficient 41.7%. If the Grizzlies are smart, one of their main strategies on offense will be for Jackson Jr. to spend time outside the arc in order to lure Rudy Gobert to the perimeter, which could open things up inside the paint for Ja Morant and others. In his last 10 games against Minnesota he is averaging 22.8 ppg in just 31.2 minutes per night. He has scored 30+ in 3 of the 4 most recent meetings, shooting 50% or better in 3 of those games. As good as Gobert is defensively, he cannot match the agility and quickness of JJJ, who is a power forward. We are getting a very solid +190 odds for a bet that has cashed in 3 of the last 5 meetings between these 2 teams, so I say it’s well worth adding it to Thursday’s Same Game Parlay.
