The first installment of Thursday Night Football during the 2023 NFL season did not disappoint, as the Lions went into Kansas City and took down the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs 21-20. What will Week 2 do for an encore? It should be a good one, featuring a pair of playoff teams from last season in the Vikings and Eagles. Minnesota is looking to bounce back from a season-opening loss, while Philadelphia is hoping to remain undefeated.

Here is my Same Game Parlay for the festivities, which kick off at 8:15 pm ET on Amazon Prime. Also be sure to check out our full Vikings vs Eagles predictions.

Vikings vs Eagles Over 49.5 (-105)

Jordan Addison to score a touchdown (+210)

Jalen Hurts Over 248.5 passing yards (-114)

Vikings vs Eagles Same Game Parlay odds: +617

One of the benefits of Same Game Parlays, of course, is that you can correlate all of the plays involved. That is the entire plan here, as Jordan Addison scoring a touchdown and Jalen Hurts throwing for his fair share of yards would obviously work well with the over cashing. Let’s break down each of the 3 legs.

You can bet on this Same Game Parlay at FanDuel, America’s #1 sportsbook, which has a great new customer offer where you can bet $5 and receive $200 in bonus bets plus $100 off NFL Sunday Ticket! Click here to take advantage of this awesome offer.

Vikings vs Eagles Over 49.5 (-105)

The Vikings underwhelmed in their opener with a home loss to Tampa Bay, but just like it was throughout most of last year the passing attack was in fine form. Kirk Cousins threw for 344 yards and 2 touchdowns; Justin Jefferson finished with 150 yards on 9 receptions. As for the Eagles’ secondary, it watched New England quarterback Mac Jones go for 316 yards and 3 scores last weekend. That doesn’t bode well for Philadelphia given that the Patriots’ offense is nothing special whereas the Vikings boast an apparently dominant receiving duo in Jefferson and Jordan Addison. On the other side of the ball, the Eagles are stacked offensively with the likes of Hurts, AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert. Minnesota’s total defense ranked #31 in the NFL in 2022 and will probably struggle again in 2023 – including on Thursday night.

Jordan Addison to score a touchdown (+210)

A first-round pick out of USC, Addison wasted no time finding the endzone in his NFL career. During Minnesota’s Week 1 loss to Tampa Bay, he scored 1 touchdown while catching 4 of 6 targets for 61 yards. Thursday’s matchup should provide the rookie with another great opportunity for success. Philadelphia’s defense is solid, but it has to devote most of its attention in the secondary to Jefferson and the home team may be down a cornerback (James Bradberry suffered a concussion last week and is questionable). The Vikings are underdogs by a touchdown, and if they do end up playing from behind, then they will be all the more inclined to sling it around on offense early and often. At +210, Addison has very good value.

Jalen Hurts Over 248.5 passing yards (-114)

These 2 teams also went head-to-head during the 2022 regular season, when Hurts completed 26 of 31 passes for 333 yards. The former Alabama standout threw for at least 315 yards in 2 of Philadelphia’s last 4 regular-season contests and he also racked up 304 passing yards in the Super Bowl loss to Kansas City. He now goes up against a Minnesota squad that was second-to-last in the entire NFL in passing defense during the 2022 campaign. Hurts should be in line for a big night at the office, which would obviously help cash Over 49.5, as well.
