EPL pick today: Manchester City vs Chelsea – Draw (+300), 3:00 pm ET
Chelsea has only 1 win in 7 Premier League games and dropping points against Nottingham Forest doesn’t bode well for a visit from EPL champions Manchester City. Chelsea was held 1-1 at the City Ground and is losing ground in the race for a top-4 finish. However, City also has problems after a 1-1 tie with Everton, the second straight home league game in which they have dropped points. Games between these teams have generally been tight in recent years, therefore backing the draw will be the play.

College basketball pick today: Ohio State Buckeyes ML over Purdue Boilermakers (-125), 7:00 pm ET
Purdue sustained its first loss of the season on Monday and has not covered a point spread since its win over Duke in late November. Now, the 1-loss Boilermakers are a slim 1.5-point road underdog against the Buckeyes.
Offensively, Ohio State will likely operate away from the basket because of Zach Edey’s size, specifically in the mid-range – where Purdue struggles to defend. The Buckeyes rank 6th nationally in mid-range attempts per 100 possessions per Haslametrics, while Purdue ranks 362nd in mid-range attempts allowed. Furthermore, the Buckeyes are the more efficient perimeter shooting team in this matchup, as they make 37.5% of their 3-point attempts while the Boilermakers make just 30.5%. The Buckeyes should have success finding open shots on the floor offensively while limiting the pieces around Edey on the defensive end, so for that reason, backing the Buckeyes to win will be the play.

NHL pick today: Toronto Maple Leafs 3-way ML over Seattle Kraken (-140), 7:00 pm ET
The Kraken and Maple Leafs will be coming into this game with very different attitudes. Prior to a recent loss to the St. Louis Blues, the Leafs had won 7 of 10 games, including an impressive 7-0 win on home ice. Meanwhile, prior to the Kraken’s last 2 wins, they had lost 7 of 10 games. Because the Maple Leafs are in better form, backing them to win will be the play.

NBA pick today: Dallas Mavericks +3 over Boston Celtics (-110), 7:30 pm ET
Two teams heading in opposite directions collide tonight in Dallas as the Celtics take on the Mavericks. Boston has been playing its worst basketball of the season, dropping 2 straight games and 7 of the past 12. Meanwhile, the Mavericks enter as winners of 7 straight games and the home team can ride their hot streak in this game. Dallas has the 5th-best offensive rating and should thrive in this matchup against a struggling defense. Boston is due to get back on track at some point, but that is not likely to come against the hottest team in the league playing on their home floor.
