MLB pick today: Tampa Bay Rays -1.5 over Pittsburgh Pirates (+104), 1:10 pm ET

The Rays have won 5 of the past 6 games since April 27, outscoring the opposition by a 50-24 margin. Tampa was favored in all six of those outings, cashing on the run line in four of the five victories during the span. That includes a 2-0 mark on the run line in this series, and there is no reason to believe the Rays won’t ball out against the Pirates again this afternoon. Tampa Bay is 8-1 in Game 3 of a series this season, and they’re 38-13 in the past 51 interleague home games. For that reason backing the Rays on the run line will be our play.

MLB pick today: Chicago White Sox ML over Minnesota Twins (+112), 2:10 pm ET

The White Sox piled up 12 hits in Wednesday’s 6-4 victory, and they have registered 3 straight wins after a 10-game losing streak. The White Sox will turn to RHP Lucas Giolito for the sweep, who allowed just one earned run, 5 hits and 2 walks across 6.0 innings the last time he faced the Twins in early April. He has lasted 6.0 or more innings in 4 straight outings, posting quality starts in 3 of those outings. For that reason, backing the White Sox to beat the Twins again will be our play.

NBA pick today: Los Angeles Lakers +6 over Golden State Warriors (-110), 9:00 pm ET

Game 1 went to the Lakers as they upset the Warriors 117-112 on the road. Defensively, the Lakers were impressive and if they continue to play defense like they were before giving up a 14 point lead in the 4th quarter, this series can take a dramatic turn in the Lakers favor. The Lakers are a very streaky team, but they should at the very least be able to hang with the Warriors tonight in Game 2. For that reason backing the Lakers to cover will be our play.

NHL pick today: Dallas Stars 3-Way ML over Seattle Kraken (-130), 9:40 pm ET

The Dallas Stars will still be on home ice for Game 2, so evening up the series at 1-1 before heading out to Seattle is essential. The Stars are a very balanced team and have one of the NHL’s top goaltenders in Jake Oettinger, as well as one of the best young skaters in Jason Robertson. Game 2 has ‘bounce back’ written all over it for Dallas, therefore backing them to win in regulation will be our best bet.
