NHL pick today: Edmonton Oilers 3-Way ML over Philadelphia Flyers (-115), 7:00 pm ET
The Oilers and Flyers are 2 teams heading in opposite directions. Edmonton is the 3rd-highest scoring team on the road, and that should only improve now that Evander Kane is back healthy and getting his usual ice time. It also helps that the Flyers have allowed the 8th-most goals per game at home this season.
To make matters worse for Philly, the Oilers are the NHL’s highest-scoring team since the start of 2023. For that reason, backing the Oilers to win in regulation will be the play.

College basketball pick today: Purdue Boilermakers -7.5 over Iowa Hawkeyes (-120), 7:00 pm ET
Purdue has lost just 2 games this season and one of those losses came in their last game where they lost to Indiana on the road. I do not see Purdue losing 2 games in a row, especially on its home court. Iowa’s offense will come ready to play tonight, but its defense will simply struggle to stop Purdue’s offense.
According to KenPom, Iowa’s defense is ranked #156 in adjusted efficiency, #220 in effective field-goal percentage and #226 in 2-point percentage. The Hawkeyes’ inability to defend 2-point shots and defensive rebound effectively is the reason why backing Purdue to cover will be our play.

College basketball pick today: Rice Owls +13.5 over Florida Atlantic Owls (-102), 7:00 pm ET
After losing 3 straight games, we’ve seen Rice fall from the mid-140s in KenPom’s efficiency rankings to 168th. However, the Owls weren’t really expected to win any of those three games. They now face the conference leader in FAU, but they will have a good chance to compete thanks to their offense.
Rice ranks just barely outside the top 100 in adjusted offensive efficiency. A big reason for this is center Max Fiedler, who is the lynchpin of the Rice offense. He not only averages 11.3 points per game but also over 5 assists. Florida Atlantic will likely get the win to remain atop the Conference USA standings, but backing Rice to keep it close will be our play.

NBA pick today: Milwaukee Bucks -6 over Los Angeles Lakers, 10:00 pm ET
The red-hot Milwaukee Bucks are headed to Crypto.com Arena in hopes of winning their 9th game in a row. Their offense has been clicking during the win streak, as they have scored 120+ points 6 times in 8 games while shooting over 50 percent from the field. The Bucks are also 9-3 SU in the last 12 meetings with LA.
Anthony Davis had a monster game in the first meeting of the season at Fiserv Forum, won by the Lakers 133-129. This is a different Bucks team, though, and they are on a huge run right now. Therefore backing the Bucks will be the play.
