Devin Vassell to Score 20+ Points (+200)
San Antonio comes into this game after an impressive 130-128 win at Memphis last night, backed by a 20-point output from Devin Vassell and a strong bench performance. This was the 2nd time in 3 games that Vassell has scored 20 points, the 24-year-old has had a solid regular season so far averaging 15.3 points per game. The Spurs are playing without any pressure these remaining 20 or so game, after shutting down Victor Wembanyama for the season due to his blood clot issues, San Antonio will focus more on developing their young players instead of chasing the play-in tournament. Vassell has had some really solid scoring outputs in recent games against the Thunder – the last time he played them he finished with 28 points, which was his 2nd game in a row with 20+ points against them. He’s cleared this line 4 times in 6 meetings, averaging 18.7 points per game on over 51% efficiency from the field.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander 2+ Made Threes (-162)
Despite his Thunder team having a 9.5 game edge on top of the West standings, that hasn’t had a negative impact on the amount of minutes SGA is playing. The regular season MVP trophy is very much on the line for Gilgeous-Alexander, so we can expect him to continue producing his regular numbers over the remaining 20 or so games. Shai’s three-point shooting has been very impressive in the month of February – he finished the month making 2.3 per game on 42.3% efficiency, by far his best shooting month from distance this entire season. Momentum is also on his side as he has cleared this line in 3 of his last 4 games, San Antonio is allowing opponents to shoot 35.4% from distance this season. In the most recent meeting between the two teams SGA exploded for 5 threes on 8 attempts, he’s making 2.2 per game over the past 5 meetings on almost 46% efficiency. Sunday’s game should be a high scoring one as the Spurs will be playing on a 2nd night of a back-to-back, let’s hope SGA can make the most out of his opportunities from deep.
