We are almost at the halfway point of the 2022 NFL regular season and I do not like it. It needs to slow down! While we can’t slow down time, we can control what NFL player props we are picking for Week 8 on ThriveFantasy. We are going to chase some solid point totals this week, highlighted by good matchups for Alvin Kamara, DeAndre Hopkins and Derrick Henry. It’s time to #PropUp over at ThriveFantasy, but be sure to check out our NFL Best Bets and our NFL Prop Bets pages before locking in any NFL player props. We went a perfect 7-0 on our NFL best bets last week!

ThriveFantasy NFL Player Props Week 8
Derrick Henry over 102.5 rushing + receiving yards
Is this a lofty number? Yes. However, Henry has 100 or more rushing yards in three straight games, and he’s even mixed in a couple of receptions in those contests. He’s surpassed this mark in four straight games and he now gets to face a Houston team that has struggled to stop him in the past. Henry has averaged 103.5 yards per game on the ground against Houston for his career (10 games) and has at least 200 rushing yards in three straight contests against the division rival! The Texans have been one of the wort teams against the run this season and we all know what Tennessee wants to do. Henry just might go for 200 against Houston…again.

Alvin Kamara over 66.5 rushing yards
While Kamara’s usage in the passing game has been a joy for fantasy football managers, he should be able to excel on the ground this week. The Las Vegas defense has allowed 100 or more yards on the ground in four of six games this season. The Raiders have also allowed at least four yards per carry in every game but one this season. If Kamara gets 15 carries, he’s blowing past this number.

DeAndre Hopkins over 6.5 receptions
After a six-game suspension, Hopkins returned to the field and caught 10 of 14 targets for 103 yards last game. Now, he gets to face a Vikings team that has been one of the worst against opposing WR1’s this season. Hopkins is a target hog, and Kyler Murray desperately needed him back on the field. Interestingly enough, the Cardinals moved Hopkins around a lot in his first game back and they will continue to do so to put him in the best matchups on the field. The Vikings and Cardinals both play at faster paces, which should maximize the number of plays – and subsequently targets and receptions – for Hopkins in this one.
