The Pickswise experts have been on fire to start the 2023 NFL season, with a 39-23-3 overall record on sides that has us up +25.1 units. We went 11-4-1 on sides during Week 4. Now it’s time to put our faith in the Pickswise Nation with The People’s Parlay!
What is the People’s Parlay, you ask? It is comprised of 5 picks chosen by you, the Pickswise Nation, through our Call It feature. Call It lets our users pick which NFL team they’re riding on the spread for every single game. And given it can sometimes pay to follow the public money, we’re combining the 5 hottest teams into one mega parlay at huge +2294 odds!
Below you can find 5 of the most-supported NFL teams from Pickswise’s Call It tool, along with the percentage of users who had picked them at the time of publishing. Let’s break down The People’s Parlay for Week 5 of the NFL season.
Bills -5.5 (-110)
Lions -9.5 (-120)
Dolphins -12.5 (-112)
Eagles -4 (-112)
Chiefs -3.5 (110)
NFL Parlay odds: +2294

As you can see, the teams in this parlay are considerable favorites against the spread. That is nothing new when it comes to the public’s preference. Can all of them win and cover? Let’s break them down and the percentage of people that voted in that direction.
Buffalo Bills -5.5 over Jacksonville Jaguars (-110)
84% of Pickswise users selected Buffalo with Call It
Data correct at time of publishing on Saturday, September 23 at 12:00 pm ET.
A second consecutive NFL Sunday kicks off with the Jaguars playing in London. Things went well for them across the pond last weekend in the form of a 23-7 victory over Atlanta. A much tougher test is likely on the way with Buffalo now taking its talents overseas. The Bills are riding high on the heels of a big win over Miami and the public likes them to keep it rolling.

Detroit Lions -9.5 over Carolina Panthers (-120)
85% of Pickswise users selected Detroit with Call It
Data correct at time of publishing on Saturday, September 23 at 12:00 pm ET.
This looks like a matchup between one of the best teams in the NFC and one of the worst teams in football. Detroit’s 3-1 record includes an upset of Kansas City, while Carolina (0-4) is the last winless team in the league thanks to Chicago’s Thursday night victory over Washington. Can the Panthers keep this within single-digits? Neither the Pickswise experts nor the public think so.
Miami Dolphins -12.5 over New York Giants (-112)
83% of Pickswise users selected Miami with Call It
Data correct at time of publishing on Saturday, September 23 at 12:00 pm ET.
Unsurprisingly, the Dolphins’ offense is already a well-oiled machine heading into Week 5. That’s probably the main reason why the public is backing Miami to cover even though the Pickswise experts are willing to take the 12.5 points with New York. A whopping 82% of Call It votes are going in favor of the ‘Fins. Something’s gotta give…
Philadelphia Eagles -4 over Los Angeles Rams (-112)
78% of Pickswise users selected Philadelphia with Call It
Data correct at time of publishing on Saturday, September 23 at 12:00 pm ET.
Since the public always loves hammering favorites, it is only expected that votes are being thrown primarily at Philadelphia (to the tune of 78%). Los Angeles has actually fended pretty well for itself in the early stages of the season thanks in part to rookie WR Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp is coming back now, but Philly is simply in a different class. The Eagles are 4-0 and likely headed for 5-0.

Kansas City Chiefs -3.5 over Minnesota Vikings (-110)
77% of Pickswise users selected Kansas City with Call It
Data correct at time of publishing on Saturday, September 23 at 12:00 pm ET.
The Pickswise experts are not afraid to give the points to Minnesota and the public seems to agree. After all, the Chiefs are defending Super Bowl champions and the Vikings are already kind of in shambles. Minnesota managed to beat lowly Carolina last weekend, but is 1-3 and has to face Kansas City and San Francisco in 2 of the next 3 weeks. Things are not looking good for the underdogs.
