There is a showdown for the AFC South title (which no one has seemed to want that badly this season) on Saturday, with long-time leaders the Tennessee Titans taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars — who look to have timed their run perfectly. NFL Tennessee Titans vs Jacksonville Jaguars expert predictions
The AFC South title looked to have been gifted to the Titans almost by default this season but a shocking run of 6 straight losses has seen them hand over the division lead to the Jaguars. With Houston still bumping around as one of the worst teams in the NFL and the Colts imploding spectacularly while the Jags got off to a slow start (2-6), Tennessee seemingly had the division in hand when it reached 7-3. However, a horrific run of 6 straight losses — including a home defeat to the Jaguars and even a loss to the Texans — has seen the Titans slide pathetically to the brink of elimination.
With veteran QB Ryan Tannehill (ankle) injured and rookie Malik Willis failing to impress, the Titans will again turn to recent arrival Josh Dobbs with their season on the line. Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence has been dealing with a toe issue but is expected to play.

The Titans were 5-2 after Week 8 and 7-3 after Week 11, while the Jaguars were 2-6 and 3-7 at those same stages. Well, Tennessee is now in the midst of a 6-game losing streak and Jacksonville has won 4 in a row (also 5 of its last 6 and 6 of its last 8).
It would be wise to ride the hot hand here. The Titans are reeling, Ryan Tannehill is on injured reserve and Derrick Henry is banged up. Josh Dobbs has already been announced as the visitors’ starter for Week 18. Tennessee is 0-4-2 ATS in its last 6 overall and 0-3-1 ATS in its last 4 against the AFC. The Jaguars are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 overall and 5-0-1 ATS in their last 6 against the AFC. Look for Jacksonville to keep it rolling and steal the AFC South title in convincing fashion.

Titans vs Jaguars over/under totals pick: Over 39.5 (-110)
When these division rivals squared off in November, a total of 58 points were scored. That’s a lot more than Saturday’s quota. I’m not sure we will get to 58 again, but I feel good about getting to 40. Derrick Henry has practiced fully this week, so should be good to go, but either way it will probably be the Jaguars who do most of the scoring. They have scored more than 30 points in 3 of the past 4 contests and Trevor Lawrence is rolling. In the last 8 games his TD-to-INT ratio is 14-to-2. We are backing the over with some confidence.
