Twelve teams hit the ice on Sunday including the return of the Vancouver Canucks who have last played March 24th. Our hockey expert has identified the best bets of the day and included them in a mega parlay. But be sure to also check out our picks for all six of Sunday’s NHL matchups here.
But right now, let’s break down our three-team mega parlay:
Boston Bruins -1.5 (+190)
Vegas Golden Knights -1.5 (+105)
New York Islanders -1.5 (+185)
Parlay odds: +1594
Boston Bruins -1.5 over Washington Capitals (+190)
The Washington Capitals are coming off a 6-3 win on Saturday vs the Philadelphia Flyers but they will need to recover quickly as they travel to Boston to take on the Bruins less than 24 hours later. This will be a big challenge for the Capitals as the are the oldest team in the league and are taking on one of the most improved teams from Monday’s NHL trade deadline. Boston is a perfect 3-0 with their new players, outscoring their opponents 10-3 over that stretch. Thursday’s 3-0-win vs the Islanders was a perfect reflection of their success as all three additions factored into the scoring. Taylor Hall and Curtis Lazar each scored a goal, while Mike Reilly added a primary assist on David Pastrnak’s goal. The acquisitions provide a big boost to the Bruins offense and should make them a serious contender for the Stanley Cup. Boston also has extra motivation as they were embarrassed by the Capitals 8-1 in their last meeting. This is a very different Bruins roster as Tuukka Rask and Charlie McAvoy were injured for that game but will be ready for this one.

Vegas Golden Knights -1.5 over Anaheim Ducks (+105)
This will be the seventh meeting between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Anaheim Ducks this season. Vegas has dominated the season series thus far winning all but one of the contests. The most recent win for Vegas may have been the most convincing one of them all. The Knights won 4-0 on Friday outshooting the Ducks 51-16. The Knights will be motivated to pick up two points on the idle Avalanche who currently have a two-point lead in the West Division. The Ducks have lost all motivation for this season and are probably looking forward to the offseason. They have been brutal on home ice this season, winning just five of 24 games. Conversely, the Knights own an impressive 14-7-0 record on the road. The Ducks are the lowest scoring team in the league, averaging just 2.22 goals per game. Anaheim will struggle to score once again as Knights defense and goaltending is arguably the best in the league. Take Vegas to win this one by more than a goal!

New York Islanders -1.5 over Philadelphia Flyers (+185)
The New York Islanders will be looking to rebound following two tough losses to the Boston Bruins. The Islanders have dropped to third place in the East Division and sit just eight points up on the New York Rangers who are charging for that final playoff spot. New York will look to take advantage of a tired Flyers team who played the Capitals yesterday. Expect Matthew Barzal to lead the Islanders to victory. Barzal has four points in his last four games and is an impressive +16 on the season. The Flyers playoff hopes have all but disappeared so it is hard to expect them to be motivated for this back-to-back game. Brian Elliott is coming off a poor performance where he was lit up for six goals. The Islanders are a perfect 4-0 in the last four meetings between the two clubs.
