Wild -1.5 (+145)

Hurricanes -1.5 (-150)

Parlay Odds (+1206)

Let’s break down each of the legs

Boston Bruins -1.5 over Washington Capitals (+220)

The Boston Bruins wrap a 4-game road trip on Sunday when they play the Washington Capitals. With only 11 games to play, the Capitals are all but locked into the last wild card spot in the East. They have a 13-point lead on the Islanders and are 6 points back of the Lightning for the 1st wild card spot. This will also be their second game in as many nights as they beat the Penguins the day before.

The Bruins, however, are battling for position and will need every point to improve their playoff spot. They are 3rd in the Atlantic, only 1 point ahead of the Lightning and only 3 points back of the Maple Leafs for 2nd place. That 2nd-place finish would mean they would get home ice in the first round of the playoffs. Count on the Bruins victimizing a tired Capitals team that is locked into their playoff seed.

Minnesota Wild -1.5 over Los Angeles Kings (+145)

The Los Angeles Kings start a 3-game road trip on Sunday, starting with the Minnesota Wild. The Kings have struggled lately, with only 4 wins in their last 10 games, and now only find themselves 4 points ahead of the Golden Knights for 3rd place in the Pacific Division. The Kings just haven’t been right since placing their top defensemen, Drew Doughty, on injured reserve just over a month ago.

The Wild have also struggled recently, as after a 7-game win streak, they have gone 2-1-2. This mini slide, which included giving up a 3-1 lead to the Blues on Friday to lost 4-3 in OT, has put them in a tie for 2nd with those same Blues in the Central Division. Knowing that a 2nd place divisional finish will give them home ice in the first round, they will be motivated to get as many points as possible to make sure that happens. Look for the Wild to jump on a struggling Kings team to get a leg up on playoff position.

Carolina Hurricanes -1.5 over Anaheim Ducks (-150)

The Anaheim Ducks start a 4-game Eastern Conference road trip on Sunday when they play the Carolina Hurricanes. The Ducks have pretty much called it a season as they have only 1 win in their last 14 games while the focus has turned to their captain Ryan Getzlaf and saying goodbye as he will retire at seasons’ end.

The Hurricanes, for being the top team in the Metropolitan Division, have struggled as well. They have 2 wins in their last 6 games, which now finds them only 2 points ahead of the Rangers for the division lead. The Hurricanes will look to bounce back against the inferior Ducks to make sure they can put more points between them and the Rangers as they will want home ice through the first two rounds of the playoffs, for being the Metropolitan Division winners. Look for the Hurricanes to dominate the Ducks.
