Let’s break down each of the legs

Vegas Golden Knights ML over Vancouver Canucks (-110)

The Vegas Golden Knights wrap a 3-game road trip on Sunday when they play division rival, the Vancouver Canucks.  A rare scheduling setup as these two teams will play each other in 3 of their next 4 games. The Golden Knights have been hot as they have won 4 in a row, while the Canucks are going cold, losing 6 of their last 8.

The Golden Knights will look to push the play on Sunday, especially on the attack, as they rank 5th in expected goals and will want to take advantage of an average Canucks defense to get the lead early. They will also be extra motivated to win as getting points is a must if they want in the postseason, as they would miss the playoffs if they started today. The Golden Knights’ offense and drive to the postseason show you to place your bet on the Golden Knights money line.

Washington Capitals -1.5 over Minnesota Wild (+185)

The Minnesota Wild continue their 4-game road trip on Sunday when they play the Washington Capitals. The Wild have been hot lately, winning 8 of their last 9 games, while the Capitals aren’t much worse than the Wild, winning 6 of their last 9.

The schedule will be the big factor in this game as the Wild are playing in back-to-back games and their 3rd game in 4 days, so fatigue will come into play. The Wild could also overlook this game, as after the Capitals, the Wild’s next two games are against the Central Division. The Capitals, on the other hand, haven’t played since last Monday, essentially getting a bye week last week and will be well rested coming into the game. Look for the Capitals to jump all over a tired Wild team and place your bet on the Capitals puck line.

Edmonton Oilers -1.5 over Anaheim Ducks (+115)

The Edmonton Oilers start a 3-game California road trip on Sunday, starting with the Anaheim Ducks. The Oilers are on a roll, as they just had a perfect 3-game home-stand and have won 4 of their last 5 games. The Ducks are going the opposite way, as they just broke their 11-game losing streak on Friday, after beating the Coyotes.

The advantage in this game comes down to the Oilers’ offense against the Ducks’ defense. The Oilers have a borderline top 5 offense, as they rank 6th in expected goals and 7th in goals for per game. They also have averaged 5.2 goals per game in their last 5 games. The Ducks defense ranks below average in both expected goals against and goals allowed per game. They have played worse than that lately, as they have allowed 3 or more goals in 10 of their last 12 games. Lean on the Oilers’ offense take advantage.
