MLB pick today: Texas Rangers ML over New York Yankees (+100), 1:35 pm ET
Game 3 will be a pitchers’ duel between Nathan Eovaldi for the Rangers and Gerrit Cole for the Yankees. Eovaldi has a 2.80 ERA through 15 games with a 9-3 record. Cole on the other hand, has a 2.64 ERA through 16 starts with an 8-1 record.
Despite Cole’s success this season, Texas averages 6.07 runs per game and has a .272 batting average, the best in the MLB. Their offense is top 5 in batting average, slugging, OBP, OPS, and WOBA. On top of that, Texas is 5-2 in their last 7 games whereas the Yankees are 3-6 in their last 9 games. With the Rangers in much better form, backing them this afternoon will be our play.

MLB pick today: Baltimore Orioles ML over Seattle Mariners (-102), 1:35 pm ET
Kyle Bradish will take the mound for the Baltimore Orioles this afternoon against the Seattle Mariners. In 4 starts this month, Bradish has posted a 3.86 ERA with 24 Ks to 4 BB across 21 IP. That includes just 3 earned runs in 12 combined innings against the Blue Jays and Rays in back-to-back outings. Baltimore’s bullpen play has slipped of late, but they are still the more rested unit and the preferred option, especially if they can get to their back-end arms with a lead or tied game.
Seattle will counter with George Kirby, who is a solid pitcher with a very bright future ahead of him. That being said, he has had some poor outings recently. Today he will likely face 6 or 7 left-handed batters, including the entire top of the order. This could be problematic for the young right-hander as he is allowing a .285 AVG, .183 ISO, and .325 wOBA while seeing his strikeout rate fall 5.9% when facing left-handed hitters.
With what looks to be a clear advantage in the pitching department and just a better overall bullpen and lineup, backing the Orioles will be our play this afternoon.

MLB pick today: New York Mets vs Philadelphia Phillies – Under 9 runs (+100), 1:35 pm ET
The Mets and Phillies have split this series so far, and the scores have been low, 5-1 and 4-2. The Phillies have put together a strong winning streak over the past couple of weeks, but they did it with strong pitching more than their offense. Today, they send Zack Wheeler to the mound and the former Met has given up 0 runs in 3 of his last 5 starts.
The Mets will start Carlos Carrasco, and as long as he puts together a decent outing, backing this game to stay under the total will be our play.

CONCACAF Gold Cup pick today: Mexico ML over Honduras (-260), 8:30 pm ET
Interim coach Jaime Lozano will take over for Mexico after former Mexico coach Diego Cocca was fired after just 7 games, highlighted by their 3-0 loss to the USA in the CONCACAF Nations League Semifinal. Despite the issues behind the scenes, El Tri should be able to secure a win over these opponents without much resistance.
Honduras has failed to score in the last 4 head-to-head meetings with Mexico and lost heavily to Canada recently before beaten 1-0 by Venezuela. Honduras took just 4 points from a possible 42 in World Cup qualifying, therefore backing Mexico to win will be our play.
