NFL pick today: Tennessee Titans -2.5 over Denver Broncos (-115), 1:00 pm ET

Both Denver and Tennessee have played some close games this year, but with a 2.5-point spread favoring the Titans, we have to favor the home team. Tennessee is 6-2 against the spread this season and have covered in each of their last five-straight. That’s what happens when you can run the ball effectively. Denver, meanwhile, is 3-5 against the spread this season and struggles against the run. Regardless of whether Russell Wilson shines or not, if you can’t stop Derrick Henry, you can’t control the game. For that reason, backing the Titans will be the play.

NHL pick today: Dallas Stars ML over Philadelphia Flyers (-180), 1:00 pm ET

The Stars have been one of the more consistent teams so far this season, as they’ve been towards the top of the Central Division throughout the first month. Dallas goaltender Jake Oettinger has been incredible this season, ranking among the best in most advanced metrics. The Stars have been recognized as a defensive team for a while now, so it’s no surprise that they’re allowing the 7th-fewest goals per game in the NHL.

Philly has certainly come out stronger than most fans anticipated, and that has primarily been due to the play of goaltender Carter Hart. He was in net against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday afternoon and therefore will not be available for this matchup. That puts Felix Sandstrom in net, who is just 1-3 on the season. With a shaky goalie in-between the pipes, backing the Stars to win will be the play.

College Basketball pick today: Oklahoma State Cowboys -9.5 over Oakland Grizzlies (-110), 3:00 pm ET

While early-season games sometimes yield strange results that do not project as long-term trends, there seem to be 2 early problems emerging for the Grizzlies: defending the 3-point shot and keeping the other team off the offensive glass.

The problem for Oklahoma State was that it only managed to shoot 4-of-16 from beyond the arc in their previous game — something that has to improve as the season goes on. I look for the Cowboys to continue to play solid defense, but I expect them to shoot better this time out. Throw in some strong offensive glass work and backing the Cowboys look to be worth a play.

NBA pick today: Washington Wizards ML over Memphis Grizzlies (+105), 6:00 pm ET

With Ja Morant and Desmond Bane being doubtful, I love the odds that are set for the Wizards to win here. They lost by a small margin in the last matchup against the Grizzlies as both Kristaps Porzingis and Kyle Kuzma did not shoot the ball particularly well and I expect them to bounce back here and keep the Wizards’ winning streak going. During their 3 game winning streak, the Wizards have been shooting above 50% which ranks in the top 3. For that reason, backing the Wizards to win looks to be worth a play, especially if Morant and Bane do not stepping foot on the floor.
