Kristaps Porzingis 3+ made threes (+130)

Although he has cooled off a bit in his last 3 games, Kristaps Porzingis is still putting up big numbers over his last 10 starts. He’s averaging 2.7 makes per game from the perimeter on an impressive 42.2% efficiency. He has cleared this line a total of 5 times during this stretch, with his most impressive performance coming against the Bulls, where he knocked down 8 threes. Playing the Spurs won’t require a major adjustment on KP’s part, as he will likely spend more time around the perimeter than normal since the goal will be to wear out Victor Wembanyama and avoid getting his shots blocked down low.

San Antonio is a fairly mediocre team when it comes to defending the three-ball, as they allow 36% of threes to go in this season which ranks them 18th in the NBA. The last time KP played San Antonio, he went 0-for-7 from three. Being the competitor he is, I am convinced that he has marked this game on his calendar ever since to make amends. If Jaylen Brown misses another game, Porzingis automatically becomes the 2nd scoring option behind Tatum, which will hopefully be reflected in his shot attempts here.

Victor Wembanyama to record 4+ blocks (+170)

The strategy is quite obvious for the Spurs in this game. In order to stand a chance against the NBA’s top three-point shooting team, you have to run them off the perimeter and force them to attack the basket more. If they execute that sort of game plan here, that should work wonders for our Same Game Parlay. Wembanyama is the NBA’s leading shot blocker at 3.9 per game, and interestingly he averages 4.1 blocks per game in losses compared to 3.6 in wins.

Wemby has cleared this line twice in his last 3 games while averaging exactly 4 blocks per game during that period. Compared to previous months, Wembanyama’s numbers are slightly down so far in February, so we can expect them to even out as he gets more games under his belt. For a player in only his 2nd year in the NBA, I’m sure there will be an extra incentive to do well against the defending champions. Let’s hope Wembanyama lives up to the hype and blocks some shots here to bring home our Spurs vs Celtics Same Game Parlay.
