Aston Villa ML over Southampton (-270), 10:00 am ET, Saturday

A 3-1 victory over Brentford on Wednesday night got Aston Villa’s season back on track and Unai Emery’s team can be expected to continue their revival by beating last-placed Southampton with the minimum of fuss. The lack of quality and depth in the Southampton squad was cruelly exposed by Chelsea on Wednesday, who embarrassed the Saints in a 5-1 victory at the St. Mary’s Stadium. Southampton seem almost certain to suffer relegation and Villa can deliver another defeat on Saturday.

Manchester United ML over Nottingham Forest (-155), 12:30 pm ET, Saturday

Ruben Amorim has enjoyed managing Manchester United at Old Trafford – his team have scored 7 goals in 2 home games – and another triumph seems likely on Saturday. The new Manchester United manager has got his players enthused at the same time as Nottingham Forest have endured a bad wobble. Forest were lively at the start of the season, but they have lost 3 of their last 4 games, suffering 3-0 thrashings in their last 2 road games.

Arsenal ML over Fulham (-170), 9:00 am ET, Sunday

Arsenal appear to have weathered the biggest storm of their season and the Gunners can continue this period of stabilisation by winning at Fulham on Sunday. A 2-0 Wednesday night success over Manchester United confirmed that Arsenal have rediscovered their mojo. Fulham have been leaking goals at Craven Cottage all season and they were destroyed 4-1 by Wolves in their last game at Craven Cottage. Arsenal have arrived off the back of 4 comfortable victories. A 3-0 dismissal of Nottingham Forest was followed by a 5-1 Champions League success in Lisbon and a 5-2 triumph at West Ham. Expect another routine victory for Mikel Arteta’s men.

Chelsea ML over Tottenham (+130), 11:30 am ET, Sunday

Cole Palmer thinks it is too soon to talk about Chelsea as title contenders, but the Blues are in such fantastic form that it is difficult to see them being far from the top of the table come the end of the season. A 5-1 victory at Southampton on Wednesday can be followed by another successful road trip on Sunday. Tottenham have become hugely inconsistent, highlighted by a home loss to Ipswich being followed by a road win at Manchester City, but Spurs have gone 3 home games without a victory. Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has been feeling pressure from disgruntled Spurs fans and defeat to London rivals Chelsea can add to the Australian’s problems.
