After a 2-week gap to accommodate international games, the Premier League is back this weekend with issues still to be settled at both ends of the standings.

Arsenal has an 8-point lead at the top and Manchester City will have a chance to reduce that in Saturday’s early game, but Liverpool stands in the way in the big matchup of the weekend. The Gunners’ home game against Leeds is among 5 mid-morning kick-offs, while the last game of a busy day will see Chelsea facing Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge.

We have picked out an EPL parlay for Saturday’s action, which starts with a pick in the headline game of Manchester City vs Liverpool and pays at +1120 odds with FanDuel Sportsbook at the time of publishing.

You can bet on Saturday’s EPL and MLS games at FanDuel, America’s #1 sportsbook, which has a great new customer offer where you can earn yourself a No Sweat First bet of up to $1,000. Click here to take advantage of this awesome offer.

Manchester City ML over Liverpool (-165), 7:30 am ET

There is no time to waste for Manchester City if it wants to retain the Premier League title and coach Pep Guardiola now has an injury concern over star striker Erling Haaland,  who missed Norway’s international games with a groin injury. However, Guardiola should be confident that his team can get the better of Liverpool, which has struggled on the road this season. If Haaland is able to play it would be a huge boost after he scored 5 goals in the Champions League against RB Leipzig and 3 more against Burnley in the FA Cup before the break, but City has a deep enough roster to beat a team that has just 3 road wins.

Liverpool has failed to score in 4 of its last 5 away games, a run which included a limp exit from the Champions League at Real Madrid. The Reds have won at Newcastle and Tottenham this season, but City is usually able to step up a gear in big games and is fancied to get our parlay off to a winning start in the early game.

Brighton ML over Brentford (-155), 10:00 am ET

Both of these teams have enjoyed excellent seasons and still have eyes on European qualification, but Brighton can come out on top after losing just 1 of its last 9 games. The Seagulls also dominated in the only loss during that run when they fell to a late goal at home to Fulham.

While Brentford has also done well to get in the EPL top 10, just 3 of the Bees’ 10 league wins have come on the road. One of those was at Manchester City, but 27 of their 42 points have been earned at home.

Crystal Palace ML over Leicester (+150), 10:00 am ET

Patrick Vieira was fired as coach of Crystal Palace before the Eagles lost to Arsenal before the break, but veteranformer England manager Roy Hodgson is back in charge and can help them to pick up a valuable win against Leicester. Palace struggled to score under Vieira — there was a 3-game spell in which the Eagles failed to even have a shot on target — and relegation has become an increasing possibility.

However, Leicester’s position is more perilous and while it was not long ago that the Foxes posted impressive wins over Aston Villa and Tottenham, they have not been built upon. Leicester has taken just 4 points from its last 6 road games and may be unable to start a climb away from trouble this week.

Both Teams To Score – Yes in Chelsea vs Aston Villa (-118), 12:30 pm ET

Chelsea was stung by a late equalizer from Everton in its last EPL game and, following that 2-2 draw, the Blues could be involved in another high-scoring game against Aston Villa. The visitors tended to be a soft touch when Steven Gerrard was in charge, but have looked a lot stronger under Unai Emery, posting impressive wins at Brighton and Tottenham.

Villa also has a striker in great form. Ollie Watkins has scored in 6 of his last 8 appearances and found the net in each of the last 4 road games, so expect the away team to be positive. Southampton, Manchester City and Arsenal are the only road teams to have won at Stamford Bridge in the league this season, but Villa can at least score in this game, just as Everton did 2 weeks ago, so I’ll back both teams to find the net in the last game of the day.
