The Premier League is back this weekend after international action took center stage for the last week, with the return to domestic matters seeing some blockbuster action. A local clash between Aston Villa and Wolves is the highlight of Saturday’s games but there are also games of major importance at both ends of the standings. Tottenham and Luton are battling it out at opposite ends of the standings but one thing that they have had in common this season is that both teams have tended to score in their games. In fact, both teams have scored and Tottenham have won in 6 of their last 7 home games and a repeat of that looks likely. Both teams’ attacking styles means that they can leave themselves vulnerable on the counter-attack. Luton’s last 9 games have seen both teams find the net but they have lost 8 of their 14 road games and that looks the likeliest outcome. Spurs will be desperate to bounce back from their 3-0 defeat at the hands of Fulham before the international break and they should have too much going forward for the Hatters to handle.

Everton had a solid start to the English Premier League season but their form has deserted them in recent months and they are in major relegation trouble, thanks to their 6-point deduction. The Toffees have won just 1 of their last 15 games in all competitions and suffered back-to-back defeats against West Ham and Manchester United before the international break. Bournemouth have finally started to turn around their form after a difficult run of games against many of the league’s top teams. The Cherries have won 2 and tied 1 of their last 3 games, which was a clash against Sheffield United that they dominated. The hosts recorded a historic comeback against Luton last time out and can carry that positivity into a win over a struggling Everton.

Aston Villa have kept their top 4 hopes alive with a series of decent results recently and they should be able to get the better of their injury-hit rivals Wolves when the 2 meet in the later kick-off. Wolves have lost 2 of their last 3 games in all competitions as they struggle with injuries and may suffer another defeat in this one.
