Seattle Seahawks: What will their 2020 record be?

Russell Wilson and DK Metcalf playing for Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks are looking to take the NFC West crown away from the San Francisco 49ers as they gear up for the 2020 NFL season. Seattle has been one of the more consistent teams as of the past years as they look to stay up float in a very competitive division. Making the playoffs for the third consecutive year seems highly likely for the Seahawks, but could their 2020 regular season schedule be too much for them?

Let’s see if the Seahawks can continue to be one of the core elite teams as Pickswise takes a look at each game-by-game and predicts the outcome for the Seattle Seahawks this upcoming season.

Week 1: @ Atlanta Falcons

Fun Fact: The Seahawks went 7-1 on the road last season, a franchise record. Last season one of those wins came against the Falcons as Russell Wilson will start the season with some magic and a victory. Win

Week 2: vs. New England Patriots

It could take some time for new Patriots quarterback Jarrett Stidham to get comfortable with the offense. With that being said, this is a perfect time for Seattle to take on New England as they start the season 2-0. Win

Week 3: vs. Dallas Cowboys

Seattle could see a hiccup here as the rush offense could be in trouble with opposing defensive tackles, Gerald McCoy and Dontari Poe. On the flip side, the new Dallas offense shines in front of 80,000 Seahawk fans. Loss

Week 4: @ Miami Dolphins

QB Russell Wilson should have a field day against the Dolphins in week four. Seattle could easily cross over 30 points here. Win

Week 5: vs. Minnesota Vikings

We have Sunday Night football action as the Seahawks will host the Minnesota Vikings. I have the give the slight edge to Minnesota as the fierce running attack of Dalvin Cook can change this game with a single hand-off. Loss

Week 6: BYE

Week 7: @ Arizona Cardinals

Every team has a hiccup here and there, and that could happen to the Seahawks on the road during week seven. Arizona has had the hot hand against the Seahawks as of late and will test them to their limits. Arizona is the dark horse in the NFC. Loss

Week 8: vs. San Francisco 49ers

It’s time to get back on track for Seattle as they host the defending NFC champions for the first time this season. The last three games have been decided by a touchdown or less as the Seahawks win a close one. Win

Week 9: @ Buffalo Bills

After an exciting win against the 49ers, the Seahawks are ready to take on a Buffalo team that will be ready to shut down Russell Wilson. It’s going to take a lot to take down the Seahawks as it was all the way back in 2008 when the Bills beat the Seahawks. Win

Week 10: @ Los Angeles Rams

Can the Seahawks get a sweep against three possible playoff-bound teams from week eight through ten? Los Angeles has taken seven of the past ten games from Seattle as the Seahawks get lost in the new stadium. Loss

Week 11: vs. Arizona Cardinals

Even though the Seahawks are on a short week here for Thursday Night football, I expect them to bounce back from their previous game against the Cardinals. It’s a messy win, but they get it. Win.

Week 12: @ Philadelphia Eagles

The past few times Seattle has taken on the Eagles, Philadelphia has been filled with injuries left and right. If Philadelphia can stay healthy to take on Seattle in week 12, they will unleash a brand new offense that features Marquise Goodwin and Jalen Reagor. Seattle is not ready as Philadelphia wins on MNF. Loss

Week 13: vs. New York Giants

One of the best December teams belongs to the Seattle Seahawks. December gets kicked off with a huge win against the New York Giants in week 13. Win

Week 14: vs. New York Jets

If taking on the New York Giants was easy, just wait until the New York Jets roll into town. Seattle should be able to sweep New York without a problem. Win

Week 15: @ Washington Redskins

Chase Young might give the Seahawks problems here. However, you cannot cant out Wilson down the stretch in December. Seattle squeezes a win here. Win

Week 16: vs. Los Angeles Rams

Los Angeles was a missed field goal away from winning in Seattle last season. Sean McVay has had the upper hand against the Seahawks for quite some time as the Rams do what they do best, beat the Seahawks. Loss

Week 17: @ San Francisco 49ers

I have a strong feeling this game will not be for the NFC West title as 2019 shown, but this matchup will still hold a lot of playoff implications. Seattle has more to play for as they end the regular season with a huge victory. Win

Taking an early look at the 2020 Seattle Seahawks season, I have them finishing with a 10-6 record. In 2019 they finished with an 11-5 record and finished second in the division. In 2020, I expect them to have a consistent season in 2020 as they make the playoffs once again.
