The 2020 XFL season will kick-off once again this weekend as there is more football to watch a week after the biggest game of them all, the Super Bowl. It may have taken a 20-year hiatus, but the XFL is coming back with eight brand new franchisees ready to take over the football industry. One of those teams being the Seattle Dragons who will be playing out of CenturyLink Field, home of the Seattle Seahawks. Let’s dive straight into the Seattle Dragons XFL Season Preview. Seattle Dragons Head Coach
The Dragons will enter the 2020 season being led by Jim Zorn who may or not be one of the most popular names here in Seattle. He was a member of the Seattle Seahawks and a member of the team’s Ring of Honor. His last recent coaching appearances in the NFL were with the 2008 and 2009 Washington Redskins.
Seattle Dragons Key Players
QB Brandon Sivers: The former AAF Memphis Express’ QB will be getting another shot under center as he will be the leader of the Dragons offense. Silvers finished his AAF stint with a 64.0 % completion rate, 799 passing yards, four touchdowns, and two interceptions.
RB Trey Williams: Williams is hoping to get back to the NFL and hoping to improve on his career 12 total rushing yards as he gets another chance here in the XFL. Williams was a member of the AAF Commanders where he rushed 40 times for 799 yards.
RB Kenneth Farrow: One of the most experienced NFL players comes in with Kenneth Farrow. Back in 2016 with the San Diego Chargers, he managed to total 262 yards from scrimmage.
Seattle Dragons Win Total: O/U 3.5 Wins
Once again I’ll restrain from repeating myself a lot in this prediction, but the Dragons do not have anyone that can get the job done that can make me believe they get more than four wins this season. The Dragons have a solid 1-2 option for the running back position, but being down early and often will be their downfall as Silvers will have to throw and often. Bet: Under 3.5 Wins
Seattle Dragons Championship Odds (+1200)
Besides the three key players listed above, the Dragons do not have a strong depth chart ready to compete in this new XFL season. There has to be one team to fall to the bottom and that team will be the Dragons. QB Silvers will continue flashes of why he deserves another chance, but I do not see this team getting anywhere near the championship. The odds may seem like a value, but there is no value in being the worse team in the XFL Bet: Do not place any bets on this
