Saturday’s NHL three-team mega parlay (+1825 odds): Bruins look to ride rookie goalie

Hockey fans will be spoiled once again as twenty teams hit the ice on a busy Saturday in the NHL. Our hockey expert has identified the best bets of the day and included them in a mega parlay. But be sure to also check out our picks for all ten of Saturday’s NHL matchups here.

But right now, let’s break down our three-team mega parlay:

Boston Bruins (-125)

Florida Panthers -1.5 (+245)

Edmonton Oilers -1.5 (+210)

Parlay odds: +1825

Boston Bruins over Philadelphia Flyers (-125)

The Boston Bruins are coming off a big 4-2 road victory against the Washington Capitals on Thursday night. The Bruins have received some excellent goaltending from rookie Jeremey Swayman who will get the start again on Saturday. Swayman is 2-0 with a .947 save percentage and seems to have brought this Bruins team some life. This will be the eighth and final meeting between the two clubs, with the Bruins taking six of the seven games thus far. The Flyers are most likely going to be sellers on the weekend as we approach Monday’s trade deadline. James Van Riemsdyk was an integral part to the Flyers success earlier in the year, but he hasn’t been able to find the back of the net in his last 13 games. Look for the Bruins to ride the momentum of their young goalie and continue their dominance over the Flyers.

Florida Panthers -1.5 over Dallas Stars (+245)

The Florida Panthers are coming off two tough losses vs a strong Carolina team but have won their previous six games. The Panthers will look to take advantage of an undermanned Stars team that struggles on home ice. While the Stars are just 7-6-7 at home the Panthers are an impressive 12-7-1 on the road.  Aleksander Barkov hasn’t missed a step since his return from injury and has seven points in his last five games. The Panthers have owned the Stars this season winning four of the five matchups thus far. The Stars have allowed 30.9 shots per game over their last eight and are playing sloppy hockey in their own zone. Florida should be able to take this one by more than a goal.

Edmonton Oilers -1.5 over Calgary Flames (+210)

Calgary and Edmonton come into this game headed in opposite directions as the Oilers are 7-1-2 in their last ten games, and the Flames are 2-8-0. Edmonton has taken five of the seven games so far this season and should be able to pickup another two points on Saturday. Connor McDavid is running away with the scoring title, as his 23 goals and 46 assists combine for a very impressive 69 points. His teammate Leon Draisaitl sits in second place with 61 points. Part of this success can be credited to the Oilers incredible powerplay. After getting off to a slow start the Oilers are now scoring on 27.1% of their opportunities with the man advantage. Mike Smith is having a fantastic year in goal as his 2.34 GAA and .922 save percentage are exceeding everyone’s expectations. Smith is coming off an incredible performance vs the Senators where he set aside 39 of 40 shots for the win. Look for the Oilers to get out to an early lead as the Flames may be a bit flat since they have been off since Monday.
