Senators vs Canadiens Over 6 (-111)

Maple Leafs ML (-115)

Flames -1.5 (+180)

Parlay odds +1035

Let’s break down each of the legs one by one.

Ottawa Senators vs Montreal Canadiens Over 6 (-111)

Neither one of these teams is great defensively. In the last 10 games, the Montreal Canadiens are allowing 3.4 goals per game while the Ottawa Senators are allowing 3.6 goals per game. On top of that, they’ve had poor goaltending over the last two weeks. The Habs are posting a combined .887 SVP, while the Sens have a .883 SVP. Additionally, both teams have now lost a key member of their defensive core. Montreal traded away Ben Chiarot, their shutdown defensemen. Ottawa’s No. 1 defenseman, Thomas Chabot, has suffered a season-ending injury. These two teams will be playing short-handed tonight, which should only benefit the over. Both of these teams have the ability to score, as well. The Habs have stepped their game up recently and are averaging 3.6 goals per game over their last 10; the Senators are posting a respectable 2.6 goals per game during the same stretch. Take the over.

Toronto Maple Leafs ML over Nashville Predators (-115)

It might be early, but the Toronto Maple Leafs may have found a savior in the net. Erik Kallgren will be getting his third consecutive start after two impressive victories. After shutting out the Dallas Stars, on 35 shots, he then defeated one of the top teams in the league in the Carolina Hurricanes. He seems poised and calm when he is in the net for the Leafs, and that’s just what they’ve needed after a brutal two months of goaltending. Kallgren is posting a 1.20 GAA and .963 SVP. Not only should they be getting excellent goaltending tonight, but Auston Matthews will also be making his return after a two-game suspension. Now that he has lost out on two games that would have helped him chase 60 goals, expect him to come out tonight firing. He needs 15 goals in 21 games to reach 60. The Leafs are dominant offensively, if Kallgren can have another great night goaltending, the Leafs should walk away with their third win in a row. Take them on the money line.

Calgary Flames -1.5 over Vancouver Canucks (+190)

The Calgary Flames are coming off of a disappointing OT loss after their goaltender Jacob Markstrom fumbled the puck in overtime. Despite this being the second leg of a back-to-back for the Flames, they are good enough to rebound after a loss like that and stick it to the Vancouver Canucks. Goaltender Daniel Vladar is getting the start for the Flames, and he’s been a respectable backup all season long. He’s been able to come in at the right moments and provide a solid performance, he has two shutouts this season in the role of a backup. Some starters don’t have two shutouts. Additionally, the last time these two teams played it was an absolute embarrassment for the Flames as they lost 7-1. Players and the coaching staff don’t have short memories, and this will be a revenge game for Calgary tonight. The Flames are faster, stronger, and arguably more skilled than the Canucks, they will not be holding anything back tonight. The puck line provides excellent value for the Flames.
