It’s another big day for the top two teams in the English Premier League title race with leaders Manchester City and challengers Liverpool both facing awkward road trips.

Fresh from Champions League triumphs in midweek, Liverpool are off to rejuvenated Newcastle in the early 7:30 am ET game, while City take on Leeds in the 12:30 pm ET matchup.

We’ve got a suspicion there could be a twist or two about to unfold in this thriller of a title race and we’ve got bets from both matches as part of a 4-game parlay to hopefully see you successfully through Saturday’s slate. It pays +1736 odds with FanDuel Sportsbook.

Newcastle +1.5 (+195)

Southampton ML (+140)

Wolves vs Brighton under 2.5 goals (-182)

Manchester City ML and over 2.5 goals (-149)

Parlay odds: +1736

Newcastle +1.5 over Liverpool (+195), 7:30 am ET

It wasn’t long ago that Newcastle were a soft touch but under new head coach Eddie Howe they have become a force to be reckoned with. At the end of 2021 Newcastle were in the bottom three in the EPL standings and looked clueless, but since then they’ve won 10 of their last 14 to rocket into the top half of the table – and make no mistake, they are a threat for anyone.

Liverpool have had less than three days to prep for this trip and after being tested by Everton and Villarreal over the last week, they can expect another tough game here. They came through those tests – this could be harder with the home side taken to cover the spread.

Southampton ML over Crystal Palace, 10:00 am ET

Accusations that mid-table Southampton were just winding down their season clearly hurt them judged by their fightback at Brighton last Sunday.

Trailing 2-0, Saints were on course for a 7th loss in 10 until they perked up, when star player James Ward-Prowse netted twice and they came away with a draw. Having proved they’re still up for it, they can see off visiting Crystal Palace, who haven’t scored in their last three games and haven’t won in their last four.

Wolves vs Brighton under 2.5 goals (-182), 10:00 am ET

It might be worth avoiding watching Wolves vs Brighton live on TV because this does not promise to be good.

These are two mid-division sides who don’t score many goals and don’t concede many either. Indeed, in the goals-per-game standings, Wolves and Brighton are propping them up, their games averaging 1.88 and 2.15 goals respectively.

When the teams met in the reverse fixture at Brighton it finished 1-0 to Wolves and don’t expect any more goals this time around.

Manchester City ML over Leeds and over 2.5 goals (-149), 12:30 pm ET

One-time Red Bulls’ tactician-in-chief Jesse Marsch has tightened up Leeds, something that looked unthinkable while Marcelo Bielsa ruled the roost at Elland Road.

Back-to-back shutouts have given the Yorkshire side a timely lift as they try to stay away from relegation danger. However, clean sheets against Watford and Palace are one thing – against Man City quite another.

City put four goals past mighty Real Madrid on Tuesday and can do some damage to a side they smashed 7-0 in December.
