Liverpool ML at Crystal Palace (-193)

Champions Liverpool moved three points clear at the top of the standings after beating nearest challengers Tottenham 2-1 in a thrilling finale at Anfield on Wednesday with striker Roberto Firmino scoring a late winner with a bullet-like header. Now they travel down to London to face Crystal Palace in a game that will be played behind closed doors after the UK government moved the capital into a more serious state of lockdown in a bid to control escalating coronavirus numbers.

The fans definitely helped Palace to record a 1-1 draw at home to Spurs last week and their offense will be lighter as Christian Benteke suffered a red card against West Ham in midweek so is suspended. Liverpool have won on the road just once in this season’s EPL but the lack of fans is a great leveller and, boosted by the win over Tottenham, can move further clear out in front.

Southampton vs. Manchester City Over 2.5 goals (-185)

The trends point to going over the 2.5 goal total at St Mary’s with four of the last five matchups between the teams featuring at least three goals. Only the last matchup went unders and that was something of a bad beat for over backers as City lost 1-0 despite having 26 shots from 74 percent possession. City have not been as frightening on offense this season but all that could change now star striker Sergio Aguero has returned from injury. He is the greatest goalscorer in their history.

Southampton have scored in every game since failing on the opening weekend, during which time they have lost 5-2 to Tottenham and tied 3-3 with Chelsea. They have lost 3-2 at home to Manchester United and won 4-3 at Aston Villa so expect goals at both ends.

Everton Money Line vs. Arsenal (+130)

Things go from bad to worse for Arsenal with the Gunners taking only two points from the last 18 available. They did manage at least a 1-1 home tie with Southampton in midweek, but key defender Gabriel was sent off and is suspended for a long trip north to an area in Liverpool which is allowed to host a crowd. Only 2,000 supporters are allowed in but it is better than nothing. The fanbase helped inspire Everton to a 1-0 win over Chelsea last week and then they went on the road to land a 2-0 victory over Leicester on Wednesday.

Newcastle vs. Fulham Under 2.5 goals (-150)

If you are going to miss one matchup of the four being played on Saturday make it this one but bettors can add a bit more fun by taking the unders. Newcastle have been hit by Covid-19 and had to shut their training complex recently which coach Steve Bruce admitting his plans have been made more difficult. Some players are still tired and they ran out of gas to concede three late goals in a 5-2 loss to Leeds. Expect Bruce to get back to basics and Fulham’s last three matches have featured a total of just four goals.
