Manchester City and Chelsea are the best two club teams in Europe – based on results this week – and they are meeting in the English Premier League in the game of the weekend.

The Citizens, who are one win away from winning the EPL, welcome Chelsea to their home stadium at the Etihad Stadium. And they clash just days after both clubs won huge Champions League semi-finals – they will meet in the final of that competition in Turkey at the end of the month.

It’s a mouthwatering rehearsal for that game in Istanbul and we’ve got a pick for it, as well as another couple of matches on a busy Saturday at both ends of the EPL standings.

Tottenham to beat Leeds – Money Line and both teams to score (+255), 7:30 a.m ET

Tottenham has played two EPL games since head coach Jose Mourinho was fired, and they have won both.

Ryan Mason, who was a coach at Tottenham before being promoted post-Mourinho, has already got the best out of Gareth Bale (two games, four goals) and Son Heung-min (two games, two goals), and they’ll be looking for more on their road trip to Leeds.

Leeds’ games this season are averaging three goals a time, Tottenham’s around 2.9 and both are chasing high places in the standings. There will be no backing off from these two and it could feature plenty of goals, but given the form the road team is in, take Spurs to secure the three points as well.

Chelsea to beat or tie against Manchester City – Double chance (-113), 12:30 p.m ET

Twenty-four hours after Manchester City beat Paris Saint-Germain in one semi-final of the Champions League, Chelsea beat Real Madrid in the other. Two giants of the game gone, two left standing – and it’s the two survivors who meet in the EPL this weekend.

This is the game in which City can be crowned champions with a win. They can be – but the value bet is that they won’t be.

Look, there’s no denying City has been the best team in England this season – they are where they are in the standings on merit. But Chelsea has been reborn since German head coach Thomas Tuchel replaced Frank Lampard in January.

In 24 matches under Tuchel, the Blues have managed 18 shutouts — 18! No one does that. And one of those came just a few weeks ago against City in the semi-finals of the English FA Cup, a game Chelsea won 1-0.

They did it then, they can do it again. The Blues should be able to take something from their trip to the Etihad Stadium.

Liverpool to beat Southampton – Money Line and over 2.5 goals (-143), 3 p.m ET

Southampton is at Liverpool where they are 0-3 for their last three visits, beaten 3-0, 3-0, and 4-0 on these three occasions.

Right now you’d think this should be a good time to be taking on Liverpool, last season’s EPL champions who aren’t playing like champions at the moment – they’ve won only six of 19 since Christmas.

But Southampton is in even worse form, without a win in four, and their only shutout in their last 16 games was against Sheffield United. And just look at where the Blades are in the standings to appreciate that’s no great achievement.

The Saints are without their injured top goalscorer Danny Ings and Liverpool might bag a few goals here.
